The Switched Questionnaire: The Exies

The Switched Questionnaire: The Exies

If there's one thing the musician loves more than some good old-fashioned debauchery, it's his gadgets. So, on the very day his band's new album, 'A Modern Way of Living with the Truth,' hits store shelves, we're chatting with Freddy Herrera of L.A.-based rock outfit The Exies to get the lowdown on his favorite toys.

What gadgets do you always bring with you on the road?
Well, it seems that all of us, except Hoss, are never without our laptops. We do everything on them, whether that's e-mailing, updating our site or writing music. And, we've gotta have our cell phones.

What cell phone do you have right now and what do you love/hate about it?
We all have RAZRs except Chris. He has a MOTOKRZR, which is pretty close. No complaints -- except when we're on the bus trying to sleep and somebody gets a call, which is every damn night.

Where do you go pretty much every time you get online?
We're always are on our site, the-exies.com, or our MySpace page. Chris likes to check out NME.com for all the latest music news from London, too.

What annoys you most about your iPod, cell phone or laptop (or all three)?

The battery charge on all of them doesn't last long enough!

What's the most-played song or artist on your iPod?
The Exies.

What upcoming gadget can you not wait to get your hands on?
The iPhone looks pretty cool. So if anyone from Apple reads this, send us one!

You're stranded on a desert island: What gadget do you bring?
An ultra high-powered cell phone!

What's the longest time you've ever spent playing a video game in one sitting and what game was it?
About 20 minutes, and it was 'Guitar Hero' to see if we could play our song 'Hey You' on it. We sucked.
