As a handy alternative to all of the overly feature rich phones out there comes the Samsung jitterbug. Aimed at an older crowd for whom making a simple call is the only priority, the jitterbug simplifies the complexities of other handsets by calling whomever you want for you via a concierge service (translation: live operators). With a talk time of four hours and standby time of up to four ...

Nicholas Sullivan at the MIT Media Lab has reached a similar conclusion to the one driving Google's Grandcentral for the homeless push -- communication is the key to success. The report out of MIT claims that putting prepaid cell phones in the hands of the 38 percent of the poorest Americans without one could earn them between $2.9 billion and $11 billion a year through increased business (for the ...

Flickr provides a great way to share pictures with friends and family. It's also a great way for not-so-upright advertising creatives to find pictures for their campaigns.
Virgin Mobile of Australia featured a picture of 16 year-old Alison Chang on bus stops throughout Australia as part of their "Are You With Us Or What" wireless service campaign. The thing is, neither she nor her youth group ...
