With a price tag of $130, it's a big expensive, and you may be tempted to purchase a much larger microwave, but if you need something extremely small and effective, consider this lil' apartment dweller's helper. It takes up about a cubic foot of space, which means it'll even fit on a bookshelf.

Electric MINI Hits US Streets in Summer 2009
Not that electric MINIs are anything new, but unless you were willing to pay for all the mods yourself, procuring one wasn't exactly simple. Now, however, we're hearing that MINI itself will be bringing scads of these buggers to American streets in the summer of 2009. Yeah, like, one year from right now.

Mini Atari Key Chains That Play Games!
Whether you say it like Keanu Reeves or Joey Lawrence, there's only one word to describe these new mini Atari key chains from Firebox, and that's, "Whoa." The baby joystick and paddle aren't just inspired by their legendary forefathers -- they actually have old Atari classics built right into them! Each key chain comes with a pocket-sized reel of cord with RCA jacks on the end and a battery inside. Plug one end into the controller and the other into a TV and in no time you're getting your 1983 on.
The joystick comes in two configurations, either with 'Asteroids' and 'Millipede' or with 'Centipede' and 'Yar's Revenge.' The paddle has 'Pong' and 'Breakout' built in.
Granted, it would be a lot cooler if you could simply plug the controller directly into the TV without having to hump the reel around with you too. But at $15 a pop, that's not going to stop us from buying both.
Now, if only there was a way to connect these little guys to the Atari emulator running on our PSP ...

AOpen PandoraWhenever a cool new Adidas sneaker comes out, it's immediately given a fourth stripe by some hack out there and sold under a different brand name. Well, Apple is kind of like the Adidas of the tech-world. But it's not just Apple's phone and music players that get the Payless treatment. The Mac Mini, for example, found a fan in Taiwanese computer maker AOpen, who in 2005 released the Pandora. To its credit, AOpen was up front about its source of inspiration. That said, the Pandora is still a pretty shameless 'tribute' to the Mac Mini. On the outside, the only difference seems to be the power button and the lack of an Apple logo. On the inside, of course, the difference is a choice of Linux or Windows instead of OS X.
