Camera Attached to Eagle Gives a Bird's Eye View, Flightlust
Spanish photographer Jose Luis Ortiz simply strapped a camera to his pet golden eagle and let him go. The result is a beautiful video that gives us terrestrial beings a bird's eye view, literally. Our only regret (besides our own lack of flight capabilities) is that the video doesn't last longer. [From: Jose Luis Ortiz, via OhGizmo!]

Israeli Musician Creates Amazing Music by Remixing YouTube
The practice of remixing has been going strong in the music industry for ages, and, over the years, artists like Girl Talk and DJ Shadow have elevated the act to an art form. But, we guarantee you've never seen a remix quite like this before. Artist Kutiman, a funk practitioner from Israel, has created a project called ThruYOU, in which he cunningly weaves a selection of videos from YouTube in a way that will blow your mind.
His favorite targets seem to be videos of people teaching others how to play the guitar, bass, piano, or drums that he splices together to create seven wholly new creations that are universally captivating. However, there's one rather unfortunate side to this story; his site was so popular that he's had to take it offline. The original link, http://thru-you.com/, is now just a rather boring page of text, but his files have been re-hosted elsewhere. You can find some links here, and while the download is large, it's worth it if you can't wait for the real thing to get back online. Regardless, you won't want to miss hearing and seeing this project! [From: ThruYOU]

Keyboard Cools and Heats Hands While You Type

Keyboard comfort is something most people don't think about, but are glad to have. Ergonomic keyboards that place your hands in the proper typing position have been on the market for years. Now, temperature control is part of the program if you put this Thanko USB keyboard (equipped with built-in cooler and heater) on your desk.
It may be a little bulky, but that's to accommodate the three -- yes, three -- fans integrated into the bottom of the device. And you're not stuck with simple-minded binary on/off or hot/cold settings on this baby -- a control wheel on the side of the keyboard gives you complete control over the range of cool to warm blasting out towards your precious paws.
The keyboard costs about $50 and is available from the Thanko Web site, though we hope you read Japanese. (The cooler-only version is available on RareMonoShop.com for about $70. Why the big price difference? Shipping plus a fluctuating Yen?) [From OhGizmo!]
Artist Uses Remote Control Cars to Paint...Cars
English artist Ian Cook has a unique method for producing artistic masterpieces. He takes remote control cars of various sizes, dips them in acrylic paint, and then controls them to create paintings.
Cook calls it 'Popbang Colour.' We call it awesome.
His most recent creation, a painting of a new Camaro, was created using remote control General Motors replica cars. Nice touch, eh? It's currently on display at the British International Motor Show. Cook will do a live demonstration at the show on August 3rd (he'll be painting a Chevrolet Lacetti World Touring Car).
Cook says he wanted to be an artist from an early age, but he also wanted to approach the craft in a unique way. We think he managed to do both brilliantly. [Source: Autoblog]
