Heartbreaking, Yet Hilarious, Site Documents 'Why My Ex Sucks'

The pre-Internet jilted lover was forced to wallow in lonely misery, hoping that friends or family members would listen on the other end of the phone while that spurned, unfortunate soul lamented what went wrong. Now, though, people can overcome their anguish by trumpeting the shortcomings and misdeeds of their exes online for the world to see. And, thankfully so, because break-up stories are often hilarious (when they're not your own).

WhyMyExSucks.com encourages lovelorn singles to "summon the bitter and vent it into [the site's] submission box," where they can publicly skewer their former lovers. The posted misadventures in love include all the expected bed-wetting, cheating, stalking, and psychopathy stories you can handle, with a little bit of disgusting pedophilia and incest to top it all off. Although the site lacks explicit and compromising photos, some of the offerings do get profane and raunchy, so it's worthy of a NSFW (Not Suitable for Work) label. Aniston Dumped Mayer Due to His 'Twitter Obsession'

Oh Twitter, is there anything you can't ruin? Once, you were just a fun diversion for social-networking addicts who needed another way to stay connected with their virtual friends. But, before long, you were invalidating court cases, ruining job offers, and generally making a mess of things. Now, you've gone and ruined a perfect Hollywood couple. According to Star, supposed friends of the Jennifer Aniston say that the sultry ex-Friend allegedly broken up with musician John Mayer over his so-called "Twitter obsession."

Do you use Twitter regularly?

Per the unnamed sources, Mayer constantly told Aniston that he was too busy to see her, but somehow still found the time to regularly update his Twitter page. When she called him out on it, he made no excuses and she ended it right there.

So, if you're a Twitter user, beware; that site will surely ruin your life before long. [Via: Telegraph.co.uk]

Wikipedia Founder Breaks Up With Girlfriend Via Wikipedia

A Very Wikipedia BreakupDumping someone via text message is cruel. Dumping them via Facebook status message, for all your friends to see, is even more cruel. But dumping someone by updating a Wikipedia page that all the world can see, well, that's an entirely different realm of cruelty. Alas, that's exactly what Wikipedia co-founder Jim Wales did to announce the termination of relations with his fling, former Fox News correspondent Rachel Marsden.

The whole story rides a tawdry wave of sexy chat transcripts and accusations of improper behavior among the hallowed keepers of the Wiki. Wales admits meeting Mardsen after she made complaints to the site about some things posted on her Wiki page. The two later met and started a relationship, at which point Wales says he banned himself from any involvement in future edits of Marsden's page. Apparently, however, things started to go sour when Wales indicated the two were separated via an update to the globally public Wikipedia itself (originally posted here), only telling Mardsen herself directly (via IM) later.

Marsden, rather irate about the dumping, turned around and leaked some sexy chat transcripts to Valleywag in which, among other things, the two lovers plan out their sexual antics and discuss privacy concerns regarding Google. She then followed that up by posting some of Wales' personal items on eBay, a likewise unclassy move but, given the circumstances, perhaps not entirely unwarranted.

Girl Dumps Guy Via Facebook Status, Digg'ers Take Revenge
Let this be a lesson to you: Take breaking up a little more seriously and try not to embarrass your soon-to-be ex anywhere that others might see. This was learned the hard way by video blogger Sandra Soroka who ditched her beau via a Facebook status update.

The real mistake was posting an image of the status update on Digg, where scorned, geeky, men decided that Sandra had gone too far. Her Flickr account was hacked, all her photos deleted and replaced with a 'lol cat.' Horrifying.

We would just like to thank Sandra for putting her neck out there and confirming what any person with a sense of decency probably suspected -- breaking up via Facebook status update is a bad idea.
