Starting Friday, October 15th, Walmart will be selling the status gadget du jour, the iPad. The Apple tablet will initially be available in "hundreds" of the big box retailer's locations, but, by mid November, that number should reach 2,300. Rather than wait for a unit to ship, or drive to your nearest Apple store (which, if you're not in a major metropolitan area, might not be particularly ...

Consumerist reader James spotted this vintage edition of Norton System Works 2006 at his local Walmart. What's more, the relic could be had for the bargain basement price of only $59.72! Most Apple fanatics who waited in line overnight to get their hands on the iPhone 4 wouldn't part with their shiny new handsets easily. WWDC is just around the corner, and it's a pretty safe bet that we'll be seeing a brand new iPhone there. Used to be, back in the golden years of kidnapping, abductors would only demand a ransom in exchange for their victims. Nowadays, though, as the video game generation matures into criminal adulthood, typical demands are becoming a bit more... peculiar.
Teenager Kyle Yarkosky, of Florida, claims that a fellow teen named David Daniels and another unnamed suspect abducted him last Monday, held ...
