Palm Gandolf -- the Affordable iPhone-Killer?
It seems the Foleo isn't the only thing Palm is working on these days, if the leaked photos and details of a new handheld device code-named Gandolf are to be believed. Inspired, perhaps, by the white wizard of fantasy lore, Gandolf, the device, will be available in trendy white plastic and will ship with Windows Mobile 6. The Palm OS version will be available in a more traditional black.
While we can't say it's a very good-looking device, Gandolf certainly looks nicer than the existing Treos from Palm. And the anticipated $200 price makes it a potentially attractive alternative to the iPhone.
