Some of the rules on the list are more well known than others, such as Godwin's Law, which originally pertained to Usenet discussions but has been expanded to include all online discussions. Godwin's Law states that "As a... discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1." Others are more obscure, but easily recognized as true.
