It takes a lot of courage for someone to come out and change like this, FULL TIME and PERMANENTLY.
It's not about sexual preference like being gay.
It's much, much more.
He could lose a lot of support from family members and friends who just can't understand him/her anymore, or are afraid.

I'm a blond, have always been a blonde; my daughter is a blonde, has always been a blonde, my grandson is a blond, will always be a blonde.
I know some people who are blonde as children, their hair becomes a dark blonde when they get older (not in my family of blondes, though), but I have never even heard of a blonde child, growing up and hair turning to BRUNETTE. That's nuts.

I don't want to go into the "when my child was that age...blah blah blah," but we're letting our kids start awfully young, don't you think, to be on a bus by themselves at that age??
I would not put a five year old on a bus by himself in the first place. Just saying.
