AirAsiaX mulls charging passengers by weight {Gadling}

Aug 5th 2008 2:15PM Terrible reply sprinkled with fancy words. I am 6'5" 215lbs. I am JUST over my average weight by 15 lbs. Now if you make me pay for the 15lbs, sure, but to use my total weight not considering my height (WHICH IS NOT FLEXIBLE), then you are segregating and discriminating against something I cannot change.

AirAsiaX mulls charging passengers by weight {Gadling}

Aug 5th 2008 2:06PM Only problem...as a 6'5" male, my weight will be 50-100 more than a 5'0" female. They will have to base this off of some kind of average weight per height deal. And if weight of a person is considered, when does the carry on factor in? This is an EASY way to raise prices b/c they normal price will be for average weight person and average carry on. Interesting to see how this turns out...

Galley Gossip: Flight Attendant Pet Peeve #3: You want me to do what? {Gadling}

Jul 17th 2008 1:48PM "By the way, what happened to chivolrous behavior?"

Becky, do you know the origin of chivalry? I worked at Medieval Times for 4 years and kept getting asked where "chivalry" has gone. You know how I responded (outside of ear shot of other customers): Chivalry came from a period where men OWNED women as property. They felt that it was in the MEN that the care of a WOMAN should be passed from the father to the husband. Women were treated as if they could not handle themselves. Women now-a-days want to be treated as equals to men. If so, then you can carry your own bag and do the things that make you "equal" to men and what women faught for all these years. You can't have the best of both worlds. I open doors for ANY girl or lady I meet, but I refuse to be the ONLY one paying for meals with my 3 year relationship girlfriend. We switch off depending on who makes more money at a period of time.

You ask where all the chivalrous men have gone? They are hiding from the independent woman of the 21st century. We can go back to the 17th century where men will be chivalrous, but then you are considered property. FYI - I DESPISE the word chivalry unless it is used in the correct context...this is not one of them.

Mom gives public punishment for 12-year old accused of bullying {ParentDish}

Jun 6th 2008 1:40PM I would just like to comment on the way this article is written. You use your views, but do not try to persuade your audience to feel the way you do. You have a LOT of neutral ground and allow growth in people's minds about how this mother acted. This MIGHT be over the top, but this might be the kick that America needs to show that kids are stealing bigger things earlier in life because parents are separated. Everyone gets bullied or has bullied someone, it's going to happen all through life. I was bullied A LOT and I would actually thank those guys if I saw them b/c I know I turned out OK and their wrap sheet is at least 3 pages (I looked them up). Anyways...thank you for a great read and allowing open opinions to flow. Thank you to this mom who might make other parents realize they have to take action.

Trapster: Get Warnings About Speed Traps on Your Cell Phone {Switched.com}

Apr 3rd 2008 2:48PM uralllying says:
Look, it's the only 3 people in America who don't drive faster than the posted limit....

flooby says:
when police offices drive at the posted speed them self and not run people off the road going at 80 or ninety miles per hour so the can hide in the ditch 5 miles down the road i will be glad to go at the posted speed

You guys took the words out of my mouth. I'd say an average of 1 outta 10 people go the speed limit. Also, notice that most accidents caused by speeding is due to the slow person getting in the left lane or not moving over and forcing someone to pass on the right which is far more dangerous.

Fish Gets Revenge on Fisherman {AOL Video Blog}

Mar 27th 2008 4:57PM Nikki, fish to not have the sense of feel, etc. that we humans have. They do not feel the hook at all. I do not fish, but I do not bash something without research.

Jilted Wife Sets 400 Cell Phones On Fire {Switched.com}

Mar 10th 2008 3:08PM Tiburnation - I believe what Jaymen was saying, is if we set fire to a woman's shoes worth that much, we would be considered monsters. It is a metaphor for the same thing, not for physically beating someone. THAT is sickening.

But this is the double standards we are used to since high school when a boy is an *ssh*le and a girl is smart for dumping the other. Go figure!

Aussie Mogul Puts Mega Yacht on the Market {Luxist}

Dec 20th 2007 4:02PM Rick, unfortunately I do not post a lot on here and cannot reply under your name, but you take what I said out of context.

I know a couple of guys like you who will try to find that one negative and sit on it for their argument for the sake of arguing. I read your other posts on this site and all are negative, so please, I will chop up what I said for an easy read for you on my first paragraph.

Inflation = higher pricings. Minimum wage = more money to spend. A crew of 25 getting paid $5 an hour when bought or maybe less and now is at least $6.25 an hour is higher. Price for upgrades DURING inflation and what they are worth now, greater. All of these add up to 4x the amount of price.

If you're going to respond, make it constructive, not directive. That was a bogus reply and thank you to those who have bought yachts and responding, I think we are in agreeance.

Aussie Mogul Puts Mega Yacht on the Market {Luxist}

Dec 20th 2007 2:34PM First off...check out houses that have gone up in prices since 1998. Check out the inflation charts as minimum wage has gone up, so does the price of these types of things. He is selling it for about the right price and I agree with him whole-heartedly.

Also, have you ever priced a yacht before? I think at least one of you have, please post what is looked for in a yacht of this magnitude as I am not educated in this area.

Lastly, a boat IS too expensive to maintain. I would buy it like a car, figure what you can afford and buy 50% underneathe that price for breathing room.

When Donald Trump's yacht engineer went to show him the problem on his yacht (sold now), Donald yelled "NO! Don't turn it on, that will cost me $10,000 in gas alone!" He is a smart man after all.

J.K. Rowling's Book of Fairy Tales Finished: But Only Told to the Rich {Luxist}

Nov 2nd 2007 2:52PM "Judge not less ye be judged."

Something some people find hard to follow, but I understand venting your person grievances.

Personally, I never read books until my g/f (English major) of 2 years told me to read the first book and quit if I didn't like it. I read it and 2 months later I am on the 7th book and almost done.

Whether her faults or succsses, she is someone that changed my life and possibly many others. This work is most undoubtedly for her kids and for charity and I see no wrong, but am jealous that I cannot read it.

Everyone who gains fame is put in the spotlight and under a microscope, but ask yourself this: If you were put on surveliance for your life, would you be completely clean? I faulter like anyone else and do not see to ridicule this woman for all of her treasures.
