Oct 5th 2009 12:01AM Lenore was recently on a wonderful radio program called "American's Reality Check" on the Talkshoe website. She made some valid points about all the fear-mongering the news media and politicians implant into our minds and in many ways this fear-mongering strips away a child's freedom to enjoy their lives.
It pays to know the facts before any parent decides to house their children in plastic bubbles 24/7. The truth is, the world is not all all that dangerous as these media people would have us believe. They simply make big profits off of our fears (i.e. Dr. Phil).
Use common sense parenting and your kids will be fine and will their lives will be much more meaningful.

Oct 4th 2009 11:48PM It's no wonder why NBC (Nothing But Crap) is sinking after fraudulent programs like "To Catch A Predator" which they were sued for and lost.
Corporate TV networks have really gone to hell in the last decade or so, thanks to greed.
I miss the days when you could watch great TV movies almost every night on these networks, but now they're just loaded with hyped up shows that only appeal to the simple-minded.
