Mar 17th 2010 10:56AM Too many folks don't realize that if Insurance companies aren't going to have their feet held to the fire, we will be raped financially. The BLUES (aka Blue Cross Blue Shield of MI) which was originally supposed to be a non-profit, last resort source of Med Ins. has opened a "Dummy Company" to hide all of their profits (hundreds of Millions $'s a year) just to be able to keep its Non Profit status for tax purposes. This is TAX FRAUD!! I can't do this and you can't do this. Well, we could, but if we were caught, we'd be buying our rape insurance w/ Twinkies and cartons of Salem cigarettes from the prison commissary. The Supreme Court ruled that Corporations are now the same as people. If we are BOTH people then they should be subject to the same rules. I'm not wild about the "Obama Plan", but it does address a lot of my concerns. I was all for a Single Payer and tort reform (you can't have one w/o the other, think about it).

Do you remember the 96 Billion dollar surplus we had at the end of his 8 years??? It only took GW less than a year to go through THAT. I used to have a lot of respect for McCain, Then he got swallowed by the Neo-cons and lost any of that respect. Don't kid yourself about his war record, He was the son of a US senator and received preferential treatment because of it. He said so himself that the only reason that he allowed that other pilot to go home before he went was because he was sure he was going out on the next plane. He said that if he knew he was going to be there and other three years, he'd have run over the tops of the other guys to get on board that freedom plane.
Obama speaks to the "Under $500K per year" people. That is 97% of the population of this country. Anyone who believes that McCain is going to give a rat's ass about this crowd (call it what it is, The Majority) has got an awful lot to learn about human nature, not to mention spelling (Paula). And where in the world did you come up with these "facts" about Obama?? Your hairdresser?? Anyone who continues this present administration in the form of McCain deserves whatever they receive in reward for their obtuse views of this situation.
