Hugh Hefner's Secret to Scoring at 85: 'Consistency' (PopEater)
Jun 7th 2011 3:45PM I think we can add his teeth to the list, they must be incredibly skanky. Why doesn't he ever smile with his lips open? He is incredibly pathetic at his age bragging he's still dating 20 year olds after 65 years of dating them? That's because women with life experience would never have him. The world will be a better place when he goes to his playboy mansion in the sky.
Mom With Stage 4 Breast Cancer Denied Custody of Kids in Bitter Battle (ParentDish)
May 11th 2011 7:41PM This judge suffers from the "make life perfect for the kids" syndrome. Death is a part of life and this judge has a lot of hubris thinking he/she can make that decision for these children "in their best interests." Children should not be protected from dealing with death, if it comes into their lives, they should be able to deal with it head on, struggle and live through it. That's part of life and always has been. This judge has robbed these children of that experience, should their mother pass on, and he has robbed the children of precious time with their only mother. The father should support the mother and make every effort to visit as much as possible so he is in their life while they deal with life with mom.
Our Teen Has No Money Sense, and We're Stretched to the Limit! (ParentDish)
Mar 21st 2011 8:06PM Unless a child wants to live simply, i.e. without a cell phone, I-Pod, the latest music, car/gas, beyond the basic clothing, then they should assume they have to get a job to support themselves. When I was growing up, we frequently did without even the basics, wearing hand-me-down clothing, and we never had all the electronic stuff kids now take for granted. It was cheaper to live. Now kids have so much to keep them entertained and connected with their friends and culture and it's all very expensive. No way should parents be expected to supply these things. The only way this girl is going to learn is to cut her off from everything except basic food, clothing and shelter and then let's see what she really is willing to work for. Otherwise, she'll be a whiny brat for years to come.
Charlie Sheen: 'I'm Entertained as Hell' (PopEater)
Mar 1st 2011 12:33PM How old are the Goddesses? They look about 17. But yeah, Hugh Hefner lives like this so why does Charlie get the rap? Probably because he's out of control, does too much drugs and drinking and ends up in the hospital in the middle of the night with his porn stars in tow. That makes for good tabloid news. Now if you or I did it, no one would notice. So Charlie ought to realize he lives in the public eye and has to be more discreet. Let him self destruct. However, I worry about his twins. What kind of a dad lives with two porn stars, gets caught with a suitcase full of cocaine, goes off the deep end on a regular basis? The kind of dad that shouldn't be raising children.
SmackDown: Should Teachers Be Allowed to Blog About Their Students? (ParentDish)
Feb 15th 2011 7:47PM She should have told these kids this stuff to their face, without the profanity. Just remain matter of fact and give them a crummy grade.
SmackDown: Would You Make Your Kid Drink Hot Sauce as Punishment? (ParentDish)
Feb 1st 2011 9:10PM Problem I see is that this woman used a cold shower, verbal abuse, tabasco sauce and videotaping to deal with a simple instance of childhood disobediance. She's out of control. Personally, if a child of mine uses bad language, or tells lies, they know they get their mouth washed out with soap. How many times have I had to do that, with 6 kids? Once. This woman appealed to Dr. Phil for help and that's what she needs, not prosecution.
Lingerie-Inspired Dresses for Spring (Shopping Articles Blog)
Jan 29th 2011 7:20PM Hideous dresses. Only a model could pull it off and even then she ought to have her head examined if she's going to wear it out in public. I don't even think they're sexy, just ridiculous looking.
Bristol Palin Has a New Boyfriend, Wants Levi to Sign Over His Parental Rights (PopEater)
Jan 26th 2011 1:28PM No way should Levi sign over his parental rights. She made the baby WITH him, now she wants to highlight his inadequacy as a father by publicly pushing this issue. Nothing will take away the fact that Levi is his biological father and that is going to mean something to Tripp, even though it means nothing to Bristol. Levi needs to get his act together and step up to provide for Tripp even if he is going to be a footnote in his life on a day to day basis. But he should NEVER sign away his parental rights. Bristol and Levi were very young to have a child, and haven't even grown up themselves all the way. Both of them need time to sort out who they are and how they are going to be there for this child. Levi needs to hurry up and realize this.
How Can I Keep My 5 Children Entertained Without TV? (ParentDish)
Jan 23rd 2011 6:44PM My kids know not to tell me they're bored. I am not responsible for their happiness, they are, and they know it. They have plenty of toys, tons of books, and our large house for 7 kids is always in need of cleaning. I am not responsible for thinking up things for them to do, that's the job of children. It was the same with my parents - if we dared to say we were bored, we got to clean out the garage! So our garage was not the cleanest! Bored children are spoiled children.
Was I Right to Change My Daughter's School Because of Bullying? (ParentDish)
Jan 23rd 2011 6:34PM I just moved my child to a new middle school for precisely this problem. He was bullied in a most heinous way, instigated by one very popular and powerful individual with a huge following, but it spread to many, many kids with which my son was previously on a friendly basis with through sports in the community. It was never physical but everyone shunned and ostracized him, marginalized him socially for no reason other than he had a problem with the one boy stemming from something stupid that happened when they were out playing in the neighborhood. My son has never been the type of kid to be bullied, he's handsome and athletically gifted. But he was new at the school and I guess that was reason enough for these kids to marginalize him. He got sick of everyone telling him they hated him, didn't seem to be anyone willing to be his friend because if they did, they'd be seen befriending a kid that this popular boy deemed unworthy. So rather than try to get anything done through the principal and administration, I pulled him out after he refused for a week to go to school and was physically sick over the whole thing. If it was one kid or even a small group, I would have tried to work it out. But since it was so widespread, I knew that it would be impossible to change the perception and they'd all look at him as a tattle tale, a sissy, something he's never been. Many bullies are very popular kids with large followings of other children. I am having my son see a counselor to deal with the feelings he doesn't seem to know how to handle, not understanding what even happened. It angers me that it's always the bullies that stay in the schools, and the bullied individuals have to find a new environment. I am thankful that his new school is absolutely wonderful and he's adjusting very well and already has several new friends, normal like it's always been, like it should be.
