Testy GOP, Heckler Confront Obama on Immigration, Energy, Gay Rights (Politics Daily)

May 26th 2010 5:13PM Hey, Bill... you really need to educate yourself on what Socialism is. All you teabaggers and Republinuts do is spout rhetoric you don't understand. Read. Learn. Absorb knowledge.

May 26th 2010 5:09PM How quickly you forget that Bush took so many vacations he was hardly in DC... and, correct me if I'm wrong, but... don't most presidents (including Bush) campaign for those running for their party? Please. Check your facts before you spout. You look foolish.

May 26th 2010 5:06PM Interesting... the POTUS can't seem to win with the republinuts... if he doesn't response fast enough, he's ineffective. If he responds too fast and without the right-wing's approval, he's being heavy handed.

I simply don't understand these people who profess to love America and "want (their) country back" (I never knew it was lost!), yet clearly hate Americans. We the People elected the single most effective president we have had in decades (and most certainly in the last ten years), yet the small, vocal minority simply can't look beyond the color of his skin or his party. Bipartisanship will never work as long as the right-wing takes the stand that nothing will be done until he is voted out. How quickly they forget the strong arm tactics of the Bush Administration... funny how aphasia has conveniently kicked in.

Lung Cancer: Deadlier to Women Than Breast, Ovarian and Cervical Combined (Politics Daily)

From the article: "women who have NEVER smoked appear to be at two to three times greater risk for developing lung cancer than men who have never smoked." Then what is the risk factor, if not smoking? Maybe standing over the stove, breathing in smoke and carcinogens from teflon-covered pots and pans we use every day. Women are the cooks in most households. I can think of no other environmental or occupational exposure that might explain this statistic.*****

Angela,
It struck me that you mentioned Teflon as a possible correlation. This is off-topic, but we have a 37 year old parrot and I was recently reading that two things (among others) can kill a pet bird instantly: Cooking with Teflon and using a self-cleaning oven. Significant to the issue? Who knows and I'm not sure that there is, in fact, a correlation between lung cancer in women and Teflon, but it sure is food for thought!

Miss America Caressa Cameron: No Reason a Lesbian Shouldn't Wear the Crown (Politics Daily)

May 7th 2010 11:39PM Wow, Alice (or is it Sharon... or is it Darlene...) you and your ridiculous racist comments sure do get around, don't they?

Palin to Campaign for McCain in Arizona (Politics Daily)

Mar 26th 2010 7:57AM jsa750k - Check the facts. Per Factcheck.org, these quotes were one conservative writer's idea of a joke, which has been picked up and repeated as though it were true in a chain e-mail.

This is a ridiculous example of how false stories are started, spread and, in many cases, believed.

It began with a column dated Oct. 27, 2007, on a Web site called the Arizona Conservative, which is written by John Semmens and clearly labeled as humor. His column, in fact, is called "Semi-News -- A Satirical Look at Recent News."

Nevertheless, his column on Obama has been copied and sent around in e-mails, masquerading as true stories. The reader who asked us about it said he received it from a conservative Republican coworker. The e-mail included a note calling Obama's candidacy "a joke."

In this case, the joke is the message falsely quoting Obama, and it's on whomever is gullible enough to believe it's true.

Obama Invites GOP to the Table on Health Care Reform Bill (Politics Daily)

Feb 7th 2010 8:21PM You hit it spot on, Margaret. The rest of them are nothing but small-minded and misinformed. Makes one really wonder if this is about the Democrat/Republican issue or... something else.

Palin Holds Door Open to Presidential Run, Slams Obama (Politics Daily)

Feb 7th 2010 2:26PM Palin actually has credentials? Hmmmm... Obama is a Harvard grad. Palin couldn't get a journalism degree from one school... no, not her. She attended FOUR before she skimmed through. Obama was editor of the Harvard Review. Palin? um... 'beauty queen'? Does that even count? Obama was a successful community organizer and attorney for years. Palin was mayor of some hick town no one ever heard of. Oh... yes, she was governor... briefly.
So, sorry, Darlin'... you're dead nuts wrong.
