Black GOP Delegate: Sarah's Real (Blackvoices Main)
Sep 7th 2008 4:04AM the rep. party has sold the whole country out to big business, and big business has no loyalty to its workers or America. Big business says " We only made 5 billion this year instead of 12 billion, so we are going to cut 30,000 jobs." Thats some crap!!! And they want more tax breaks. Even employment applications these days make you sign saying they can just fire you at will for no cause. That needs to stop!! Its a privaledge to owne and operate a business here in America, and they should be forced to show their loyalty to the people and this nation.
Mcain is a good follower, as his record shows. But every good follower does not a leader make!! As an independant I feel that I have seen what the republicans have done to and for us in the past 8 years. A wooden head dummy can do just as well as they have. Nothing about Mcain is FRESH, NEW, OR even close to CHANGE. JUST OLD, THE SAME OLD SAME OLD.
If you want the same thing you've been getting, stick with the REP. If you want even a chance at something better, do something different. Barack Obama. It's really that simple.
Black GOP Delegate: Sarah's Real (Blackvoices Main)
Sep 7th 2008 3:35AM I really don't understand the confusion. If you work, you pay x amount in taxes. The tax rate should be EQUAL across the board for every American who works. If you don't work but you let your money work for you, you should have a little higher taxes. Businesses and big corporations should pay the actual taxes they owe too. No tax breakes for doing the RIGHT thing. if we could do just that, we could clear up a lot of the major issues in this country...the healthcare system, education, the economy, ect. ect. The republicans, most of which aren't poor, seem to think that their party is about protecting their pockets...rich get richer, poor get poorer. But that type of thinking only enslaves you to big bisiness, in which case all your money eventually gets you less and less. The rich need the poor. Just like America used slavery. Just like the world needs America ( the worlds largest consumers). We are all dependant upon each other. A system has to be put in place to help all the way around. It may be tuff at first, but poor people have had it tuff from the start.
Debunking a Dream (Blackvoices Main)
Jan 14th 2008 3:16PM Question: If the Rev. Dr. Martin L. King Jr., along with others in the movement, had notdone the things they did to bring about change, What would Pres. Johnson have done? What did He do in his many years on the road to the White House? If not for those so called "agitators" ( wow, what a statement on ones thoughts about The Rev. Dr. Martin L. King Jr.), we would now be even further behind than we are now. There are still those "White Majority" in this country who know or feel that things are wrong against minorities, but still go along with it, or turn that so called "blind eye". Racism, like the idea that the world was flat, should have been dead a long time ago. And the funny thing is that the real movers and shakers on this earth don't care what color a person is. They know that Good Bad, Right Wrong, ect. ect. comes in ALL SHAPES SIZES AND COLORS.

Debunking a Dream (Blackvoices Main)
Jan 14th 2008 2:35PM Hillary is a great candidate. I really think She didn't choose her words wisely. But, Obama is a better candidate. Hillary's election would come with too much bagage ( owed favors from her's and Her husbands previous endeavors ). This country needs a FRESH NEW perspective, not a " back to the future twist". I think that Obama shares the views of most hard working Americans in this country. Those views that cross so called party lines. I think anyone standing for the right thing would be willing to work with him. Hillary can still do some good things because of her connections if she chooses. Be it from her current position, or as Vice President. I would love to see an Obama/Hillary "08" ticket. As a team they could be awesome!! Please forgive my sp errors, thank you.
Protest in Handling of Boot Camp Death (Blackvoices Main)
Oct 29th 2007 5:53PM that was wrongful death no question. People don't hide from camera's or try to block the view of media when they know what they are doing is right. When you're right you want the whole world to see that you're right! I think everything in bootcamps and in prisons should be video taped any way.
I understand why people sometimes look at what facts they are given, then meet out there own JUSTICE, because the SYSTEM can't be trusted.
GARCELLE BEAUVAIS-NILON: Time to See The Twins (BV Newswire)
Oct 25th 2007 9:41AM And these are the same women that say rap music, and videos, portray them as just sex objects, or in a bad light. WOW!! I guess people realize that being sexy, sluty, ladylike, or what have you, are all parts of expressing what people are feeling. You can pick them up, put them down, turn them off, or turn them on, anytime you like. It's cool. But don't get mad when someone calls it like they see it. " OUCH!! "
Halle Berry Talks 'Things We Lost In The Fire' (Blackvoices Main)
Oct 19th 2007 12:29PM When is Halle going to stop playing all those White woman rolls. Meaning rolls that fit white women. I feel she plays so many rolls that show how out of touch
she is or wants to be. Did she think she was to good for a roll in Tyler Perry's "Why did I get married"? I think that would have done better for her career. It doesn't seem like too many White women support her in those typical White female rolls. The acting can be outstanding, and everything else, but in some rolls the color of our skin is just to strong if you can understand what I mean. If you've ever seen a movie with a great actor who just didn't fit in with the cast and the character, then you know exactly what I'm saying. Try Harlem Nights, an allstar cast, an urban plot, African American reality for that time period, lead actor a White woman... Wouldn"t appeal to whites, nor African Americans neer as much as it did.
Keep It Real.
NOTABLE/QUOTABLE: Beyonce Knowles (BV Newswire)
Oct 17th 2007 5:09PM Black people have been dogged and downtrodden so much that we are even doing it to ourselves. Seems like over 90% of our (black) population in the United States, thinks that our natural hair is unacceptable, and unattractive. How many do you see with natural, unprocessed or treated hair? " oh oh, its time for my perm..." Sad...realy Sad.
T.I.: Though Riding A Wave, Legal Woes Continue & More 'BET Awards' Drama (BV Newswire)
Oct 15th 2007 9:19AM Let us all take heed!! Innocent, guilty, lies, truth, set-up, or whatever the case maybe, we may never really know. This is Knowledge, Wisdom, Understanding, and Truth: Money makes life a bit easier and more flavorfull. But it also comes with it's own problems. Yet it can't solve any of the real issues with self. We must attack or core issues, emotional, psycological, and social, and overcome them. Why does a man who has a beautiful wife at home still desire to mess around with lesser women?? STUPIDITY, yes, sure. But there is something that underscores the reasons for the thoughtless, irresponsible acts. MAN, KNOW THY SElF!! It is a life long journey of learning and understanding. And guess what, everybody can tell if you are studying os not!
The Best Free Stuff on the Internet: Phones (Switched)
May 17th 2007 1:08PM I just got two free Razr V3t phones from Wirefly on a two year contract deal with T-Mobile, about 1 month ago. Got two $50 rebates to mail in on them also. I followed the directions, and I got both rebates back in just outside of three weeks.
Maybe they have upgraded their services, because I had no problems.
