'Queen of Versailles': Tale of Mega-Mansion Headed for TV (AOL Real Estate)

May 3rd 2012 3:09PM Clearly these people belong in the 1%, therefore, the problems with this property should not be theirs. That's what the other 99% of us were placed here for. Like the Wall Street bankers who were bailed out by the Bush administration with our tax dollars, we need to come to this couple's rescue. The very least we could do is lower their tax rates to zero.

Mezuzah Case: Condo Association Bylaw vs. Jewish Practice (AOL Real Estate)

Mar 30th 2012 3:29PM People need to keep their religious beliefs to themselves. And, keep your religious symbols to yourself. Keep them inside your living space. It's arrogant for people to display them outside where others who don't necessarily share those same beliefs have to look at them. Have some respect for others.

Trouble Blooms: Condo Board Sues Resident Over Flowers (AOL Real Estate)

Mar 20th 2012 10:36PM Rules are rules. It's a slippery slope when you don't follow them. What next, murder?

Homeowners Association Forecloses on Vet for $340 (AOL Real Estate)

Jan 26th 2012 1:41PM Here's a guy who is living beyond his means. Look at that house! Is it fair to the other homeowners for them to pay for the expenses the association provides while he skates free because he's living beyond his means? I'm a veteran myself and I hate seeing other veterans play the "veteran card." If you make a career out of the military you get great retirement and medical benefits. You can put in 30 years, never see direct combat unless you're a combat troop, and retire at 50. One benefit they don't get is being exempt from paying the homeowner's assessments that they agreed to pay.

Homeowners Association Forecloses on Vet for $340 (AOL Real Estate)

Jan 25th 2012 3:29PM Boy, some of the retired vets are really raking it in. Look at the house this guy lives in. Most career military don't see much combat action during their careers. I know some who retired after 30 years and before they turned 50 and never had to work another day in their lives. I'm not against supporting our troops. I served during Vietnam myself. I'm just pointing out that like other government employees, career veterans enjoy benefits that most of us taxpayers don't get. From the looks of this guy's house, I'd say he was living beyond his means and is now playing the veteran card thinking he shouldn't have to abide by the same rules as everybody else.

$88 Million Apartment Sale Could Be Priciest Ever (AOL Real Estate)

Dec 22nd 2011 3:48PM Personally, I don't think you're spoiling your child as long as you spend less than 100 million dollars on their home. Once you get to 100 million, I think it's a little excessive. Also, rich people shouldn't pay any taxes. That's what the other 99% of us are here for.

'White Only' Pool Sign 'Decorative,' Landlord Claims (AOL Real Estate)

Dec 19th 2011 9:24PM What if the black washes off the black swimmers? I'm not too knowledgable in this subject. I do know that Asians turn the water yellow. But I'm not sure about blacks.

HOA 'Steals' Homeowner's Virgin Mary Statue (AOL Real Estate)

Dec 14th 2011 12:49PM I, for one, have never believed in the "immaculate conception" myth. Mary must have had sex with someone. It may not have been her husband and that may be the reason behind the myth.

HOA 'Steals' Homeowner's Virgin Mary Statue (AOL Real Estate)

Dec 13th 2011 5:50PM Katie, You do realize that these homeowners do not have rights to the property outside of their home? What they are doing is like me putting a religious statue on my neighbor's property and then pretending my rights to freedom of expression are being violated when my neighbor takes the statue down. People should keep their religions to themselves. This family is just trying to draw attention to themselves. They agreed to the terms of the homeowner's association when they moved in and now they don't think the rules should apply to them because they are christians. Their religious artifacts belong inside their house, not on common property.

Dec 13th 2011 5:40PM Some people want to live in communities where they all look the same. It's not for me, but if people want to live in communities governed by homeowner associations, then they should abide by the rules. I wish Weeds had stuck with the ticky-tacky theme song. The subsequent theme songs weren't as good.
