Apr 7th 2008 1:00AM Hydrogen powered aircraft may soon become a reality. Millennium Cell (traded on the Nasdaq as MCEL) has developed and holds patents on its Hydrogen On Demand system. It utilizes widely available boron to produce hydrogen as it is needed. This system was proved safe and effective last year is a nine hour test flight of a small unmannded vehicle for the U.S Air Force. Larger scale applications are sure to follow.

Cell Phones Powered By Bacteria? (Switched)

Oct 15th 2007 3:07AM Check out www.millenniumcell.com for a borohydride battery that combines borohydride (as in Mule Team Borax) and water with a catalyst to form hydrogen on demand (HOD). No hydrogen storage, thus no danger of explosion. The system has been accepted by the FAA for rule making with respect to aircraft carry on baggage. DOW Chemical is involveed in this project with MCEL. Should be very interesting to watch!

The Real Abu Ghraib Scandal (News Bloggers)

Feb 27th 2007 7:08AM Dinesh D'Souza's politicised analysis of the Abu Ghraib prision scandal is transparent trash. He attempts to pin the sins of the culprits on liberalism but the soldiers involved had no discernable political agenda. What is undisputed is that radical conservatives, such as Rush Limbaugh and apparently Dinesh D'Souza, fail to condem the Administration's torture and denial of basic human and constitutional rights to detainees. That is the real discrace. These radical conservatees should be condemned for their inhumanity.
