1. The Miss World contestants have a profound knolwedge of who they are as young women.

2. I will reiterate that many of these young women WHO YOU DEVALUE go on to careers in architecture, business, law, medicine, and teaching. YOU discredit them with your ugliness and bias.

3. Having participated in pageants nobody vomits, except people reading your comments.

4. Feminist book reading is for trolls like you who hate beauty.

5. Lastly if you want to talk about self esteeem you only have to see what these young women do in their own communities as activators.

SHAME ON YOU AND YOUR STUPID MISGUIDED BELIEFS.

Girls with eating disorders would never get past the first round of ANY beauty pageant. The young women competing are extremely healthy looking. Your ignorance is staggering. Miss World is watched by a billion people in over 145 countries. Go peddle your garbage somewhere else!

Nov 7th 2011 2:47PM Women who protest beauty pageants are ridiculous. The women who enter these competitions are for the most part college students. Many have become teachers, lawyers, doctors, and business women. They enter on their own volition. To the protesters? Go eat a muffin!

Sep 16th 2011 2:45AM The new Miss Universe, Leila Lopes was born and raised in Angola. She was a student in Business in the UK, where she entered the Miss Angola UK Pageant. She won which QUALIFIED her to enter the Miss Angola UNiverse Pageant, which she did and won thus qualifying her to compete at Miss Universe.

This isn't brain science. There was nothing to the story regarding falsified documents or anything. Just somebody attempting to cause a stir where they isn't one.

Leila Lopes was born and raised in Angola. She is a business student in England where she won the Miss Angola UK title, GIVING HER THE RIGHT to represent Angolans living in Britain in the Miss Angola Universe Pageant. She won Miss Angola Universe which of course gave her the right to enter the Miss Universe Pageant, where the beauty won.

They usually are not very attractive themselves. I applaud beauty, and am grateful their is a Miss Universe so I can see the most beautiful women in the world.
