My Boyfriend Was Living a Double Life (Lemondrop)
Mar 7th 2009 2:19AM Reading all these comments is so sad because of the lying, deceit and the pain it caused. It says a whole lot, in my opinion, about a man who can treat a woman (or women) he "loves" that way. My story is this: I dated a Marine officer for well over a year. At the time we were both separated from our spouses for many months and we had both filed divorce paperwork - or so I thought. He was talking marriage, our future, me moving to his area (Wash.DC), and I was thinking everything over, since I wasn't moving ANYWHERE until he was officially divorced. HE was the one with all the big future plans and how we were going to live our lives together forever. We spent every other weekend together and holidays(either at his apartment or my house in another state). After I'd left an abusive, nightmare of a marriage, I can honestly say that I trusted and loved this man with all my heart. One evening, I received an email from him, telling me that "I just don't love you enough to continue this relationship." No phone call, no tell-me-to-my-face........NOTHING. So much for how honorable a Marine officer can be. This hit me like a freight train that kept backing up and running over me again and again. Anyway, turns out he'd been seeing his separated wife on the side and doing the wild thang with her. Which reminded me of a really good rule I once heard. NEVER date ANYONE who's separated for this very reason, because there could possibly be a "reconcilation" and if there hasn't been a divorce, then there's no real closure to the marriage. That happened in 2003 and I haven't dated since.
Pilot sues flight attendants over safety (Gadling)
Feb 25th 2009 4:25PM Question: WHERE was the captain when all this was going on? I work for a major carrier and THE CAPTAIN
is the head honcho on deck; it's his/her plane. The captain could've - and should've - handled this appropriately. That's why captains are paid more than F/Os. More pay = much more responsibility.
If F/O Gannon is still with that airline, he probably knows by now not to eat or drink anything a flight attendant brings up to the cockpit.
Just sayin'.
BBB warns of acai berry weight-loss scam (WalletPop)
Jan 9th 2009 2:56PM For anyone who believes that they have been scammed by this or any other company, contact your State Attorney General's office of Consumer Affairs/Protection/Fraud. Be prepared to provide any and all copies of documents supporting your claim.
In addition, you can also contact the State Attorney General's office in whatever state where the company is doing business; in this case, it would be California. I did this once when I'd been scammed, and not only got my money back, but helped put the scammers out of business.

FAA Institutes New Bans on Laptop and Gadget Batteries on Planes (Switched)
Jan 2nd 2008 8:57PM What's funny is there's currently NO WAY to detect if someone's carrying liquids through airport security. The TSA is just hoping that everyone will be honest and upfront about what they have in their possession. The average passenger would be absolutely floored if they knew what can actually be smuggled-very easily-through airport security.

Paris Hilton gives up her Range Rover for an Escape Hybrid, is scared for the environment (Autoblog Green)
Jul 28th 2007 6:43PM Dear Ford Motor Company - I'll be MORE THAN HAPPY to drive a brand-new Escape Hybrid all over the place and talk nice about your company if you'd give me one of your vehicles. Trust me, I need a new SUV a whole lot more than Paris Hilton does! AND, I've never been arrested for anything.
For Vick, Legal Advice Contradicts PR Advice (Fanhouse NFL Blog)
Jul 22nd 2007 12:44AM Michael Vick hasn't exactly remained completely silent. He DID say he was "devastated" (through a third party), undoubtedly BECAUSE HE GOT CAUGHT, not because he felt kinda bad about his "alledged" cruel and sadistic actions.
KARMA'S A BITCH, VICK.
