Poll: Wii Netflix discs now arriving, was it worth the wait? (Engadget)

Mar 26th 2010 2:40PM @Dr Blight Maybe to just enjoy a movie?

Switched On: Giving fax the axe (Engadget)

Mar 23rd 2010 11:08PM I've just recently started my own business and still had to fax, not scan and email, my documents to my vendors in order to apply. Sure I played along because I really need these accounts, but it's really amazing the technological stranglehold the fax seems to have on some businesses.

Spike Jonze's free web film features robot love, vodka, long wait times (Engadget)

Mar 20th 2010 7:00PM @collindow it only had to do with Absolut in that Spike started making this a long time ago and ran out of funding for the project. Some time went by and Absolut stepped in and financed the rest of it.

That's really it. (no facts checked, just something I read somewhere and it made sense.)

Latest round of LG, Panasonic and Samsung Blu-ray players begin retail invasion (Engadget)

Mar 3rd 2010 5:42PM @V1cKdB Not starting anything, but wasn't it proven that $8 HDMI do 100% the exact same thing as the expensive Monster cables? Yup. I'm certain it does.

Steve Jobs visits Wall Street Journal, trashes Flash again (TUAW.com)

Feb 19th 2010 9:32AM Maybe I just haven't been drinking as much of the kool-aid as I should be, but does any other Mac fans like myself wish that Jobs would just shut the hell up lately?

School allegedly uses students' laptop webcams for espionage, lawsuit ensues (Engadget)

Feb 18th 2010 6:28PM that's why I always have a tiny slither of a post-it note over my webcam. I got nothing to hide, but no one needs to know that.

Coming to an iBookstore near you: The authorized biography of Steve Jobs (TUAW.com)

Feb 16th 2010 10:00AM I agree. I love my macs and admire Jobs' accomplishments, but anyone who tells me he isn't an asshole just isn't paying attention.

Bill Gates thinks the iPad needs a keyboard, Disney CEO loves it as it is (Engadget)

Feb 11th 2010 9:37AM I have to side with Bill on this one. I just don't like the iPad at all. I think if The iPad came out 3 years ago, then the iPod Touch, then the iPhone we'd all be crapping ourselves at how awesome apple is. Apple couldn't find a way to shrink people's thumbs so they just made the display bigger.

Apple Store down globally, let the speculation begin (updated) (Engadget)

Feb 9th 2010 10:10AM @Brian Dude, if you want to run Windows, or whatever else tickles your fancy, you go ahead and do so. It's your equipment and at the end of the day that's all that matters. You probably do more good on your mac running windows in a day than most of these guys do in a week.

After having been a mac guy for 10 years and owning an intel macbook for 1 I finally put XP Pro (legally) on a bootcamp partition (was strictly vmware/virtualbox previously) and I didn't know XP could actually run this smooth. I use so much open source software and Adobe is very nice about switching licenses making a switch back to windows wouldn't be so bad for my production at all and I'd certainly get more performance for my money.
