Aug 27th 2010 2:17PM The person who wrote this article is seriously ignorant, and I don't mean of antioxidants. Check out the improper use of the word "allude" in the first sentence of this article.

The proper word is "elude" (look it up); and even then, it would be the definition of antioxidants, not the antioxidants themselves.

If this writer is so ignorant that s/he doesn't even know proper word definitions, usage, and/or spelling, then what other ignorance is being propagated here? This is why I never even bothered to read the rest of the article.

May 15th 2010 6:04AM Brenda, you hit the nail on the head. Sometimes, articles like this get written only because the writer has to write something because that's their job, not because what they're writing about is actually important.

By the way, I'm a woman born and raised (and still living) in the Deep South, and I don't know what in the world this writer is talking about. To say that all this about the South is simply not true is a gross understatement. If this has been her experience, she's known some very weird people.

I totally agree with those who say that the parents were simply teaching the kid a lesson and in any case he was never in danger.

Mom: "You promise not to go behind the couch anymore?" Kid: "No... I'm thinking!" Priceless! And Mom even acknowledges, "I'm a horrible mother to be laughing."

Second, on point 2, explain to me how waiting 5-7 days for a shipment to arrive is supposed to be more time-saving than just driving to the store to buy it.

Third, Butas, it sounds to me like you're trying to be a funny writer (you are, right?); but you really need to learn the difference between being funny and just being dim-wittedly sarcastic.
