Joan Rivers: FOX Can 'Go F**k Themselves' Over Sarah Palin Controversy (PopEater)

Jan 20th 2011 9:49AM I find it hilarious that so many people "hate" Sarah Palin, but the only reasons they can cite are that she a) is stupid b) is a threat of some sort or c) has an an annoying voice.

If she's so stupid, how on earth could she be a threat?

And last I checked, having an annoying voice doesn't necessarily mean that she's "stupid" because if that were the case, Joan Rivers would be a certified moron. "Can we taaaaawwwwk??!?!"

Low Mortgage Rates Point to Perfectly Sunny Summer (Housingwatch)

Jun 1st 2010 11:58AM It goes farther back than Bush/Cheney, but it does ultimately drop in the lap of the Democrats. Go to youtube and look up "mortgage crisis, fannie mae, freddie mac, 2004" You'll see the Democrats speaking in their own words denying there was a problem and you'll see Bush and the Republicans tried over and over to stop it. Repubs kept calling for an investigation of Fannie and Freddie going back as far as 2004 and you can see Barney Frank, Maxine Waters, Gregory Meeks, a whole lot of them emphatically declaring in front of congress that it was not necessary. (Because many of them were DIRECTLY benefitting from it.)
No, it goes back to Clinton who is the one who called for "affordable housing" -- which was basically providing loans for people who couldn't afford them-- and the Democrats pushed to make it happen.

The tax credit you may not be aware of -- do you qualify? (WalletPop)

Feb 9th 2010 1:45PM Be careful... I am self employed and pre-pay my taxes quarterly. I got a "rebate/stimulus" check, cashed it and used the money. Only to find out that the government took that money out of the prepaid taxes I had already given them (they gave me back my own money) then they charged me for UNDERPAYING my taxes by $600-- complete with penalties.

These rebates and credits are a joke.

Barack Obama's Beach Reading List (Politics Daily)

Aug 24th 2009 8:37PM I wish he'd take the time to actually read the entire Health Care bill instead.

Offensive New York Post 'Shoot The Monkey' Cartoon (Blackvoices Main)

Feb 19th 2009 9:34PM then 59% of people are stupid and aren't even educated enough on current events to know that OBAMA DIDN'T WRITE this legislation. This was aimed at CONGRESS. Jeez people, read a newspaper every now and then.

Illegal Jamming of Noisy Cell Phone Talkers On the Rise (Switched)

Nov 5th 2007 3:44PM I think the owners of businesses and public establishments should be allowed to use these devices and therefore have the ability to choose if they want cell phone usage or not.

If people don't like the fact that their cell phone doesn't work in a particular bar, restaurant or theater, then they should take their business elsewhere.

There is no constitutional "right" to being allowed into bars or theaters and certainly no right to unlimited cell phone usage wherever you want.

Businesses have the right to refuse service to anyone so long as it's posted. So, they should be able to post that cell phones are not allowed in addition to jamming the signal. I mean, why not? It's a free country not just for cell phone users, but for business owners as well.

Also, for public safety, it wouldn't be a bad idea to allow hospitals, airports and other places with sensitive electronic equipment to install these devices as well.

Did Radiohead's Experiment Fail? (Switched)

Oct 19th 2007 3:10PM I think it's highly hypocritical of people to illegally download music with the attitude of "Hey, they make enough money"...

How much is enough? Who decides that? And what right does anyone have to decide that besides the artist themselves?

It's always easy to steal when no one is looking, but would you take a CD from a store shelf? Would you steal a CD from a box on the stage when the band is playing?

Better yet, how would you feel if someone took money out of YOUR paycheck saying, "Hey, you make enough money"... wouldn't be so easy to think that then, would it?

Ann Coulter's Website Hacked (Switched)

Oct 17th 2007 4:16AM I find it amusing that many of the same people who think Howard Stern is a media genius find it hard to understand Ann Coulter's schtick. It's the same thing, people.. the same thing.

Shock value comedy with just enough a sprinkle of truth to piss some people off. ... i.e. piss off the ones who get so emotional over nothing that they can't see that this is all supposed to be humor.

Get over yourselves.

Peyton Manning Doesn't Want to Hear Your Crying Kids (Fanhouse NFL Blog)

Feb 11th 2007 12:44PM I think we've all been there. Stressing out over a big day at work-- a meeting with the boss, a big presentation, or a sales pitch to an important client--whatever. I would probably have reacted exactly the same way. Why is it selfish for him NOT to want loud kids to distract him, but it's not selfish for the other players to want their families with them?? He may not have handled it in the most pleasant of ways, but he had a right to speak up. God forbid the guy is human.
