The NCAA Is After John Wooden {Fanhouse NCAA Basketball Blog}
Jan 21st 2008 11:19AM I love these comparisons of Wooden to Vince Lombardi. Wooden, during Bruins games, sat on the bench twirling his program. Lombardi was the biggest ref baiter alive, and watching he and George Halas compete to see who could be the bigger fool during Packer-Bear games was more entertaining than anything the Packers and/or Bears did. I, for the record, have been a Packer fan for as long as I can remember, but Wooden is a direct contrast to almost every other coach with even a fraction of his success, and he should be revered for that if nothing else.

Jan 21st 2008 10:56AM He's an old coach. Coaches recruit players. Why the NCAA is sticking its nose where it doesn't belong is beyond me.

Jan 2nd 2008 5:57AM I remember hearing Ozzy sing "take me out to the ballgame" at my first Cubs game. Luckily for the Cubs, this was the first time they made the playoffs in my lifetime.

Dec 20th 2007 7:39AM I bleach EVERYTHING I get at Goody's or Sally's (Goodwill or Salvation Army stores) that I'll either eat from or will take the bleaching, like skivvies and socks. I found many small appliances, like a slow cooker, veggie steamer, and electric ice cream maker, usually for less than five bones. I'm a big guy, so clothes are pretty scarce in my size, though.

1.She doesn't show off her goodies, which are probably sagging to her navel at 51.
2. SHE'S SMILING! It's not one of those George Hamilton smiles with the zombie eyeballs.
Positively gorgeous, and thanks for keeping me up.
For the record, she was on 3s Company for the entire run of the show. She and John Ritter never left, and I maintain that the reason John Ritter's spinoff died is that he should have married Janet.

Nov 7th 2007 12:41PM For the record, the 1936 Packers and 1940 Bears finished with undefeated seasons. God loves idiot sports writers; he made so many of them.
Belichek has no class? He's not a nice guy? He's not supposed to be. He's a coach. He's there to kick you in the hindquarters when you need it. That's what coaches do, at least if they're worth the title. Brady runs the score up? They pay him lots of money to help the Patriots score points. He does that and people complain?
Remember who it was who finally beat the 72 Dolphins to break their unbeaten streak? The Patriots. Remember who now holds the record for most consecutive games won? The Patriots. I bleed green and gold, but harbor no ill will to any opponent. Until they play my beloved Packers.

Nov 4th 2007 8:21AM Sorry, Yabbi, but it was Microsoft who flagrantly lied about two great programs, Netscape and Wordperfect,that I'm aware of, and shoved buggy OSs down my throat that forced me to the Mac. I love my Mac and it's not even an OS-X Mac. Why? IT WORKS!
I'll pass on the iPhone until they let me use Verizon, though, and thanks for embracing Intel chips.
