Conservatives Attack Fox's Shep Smith (Politics Daily)

Jun 14th 2009 4:42PM How can anyone say that reporting NEWS, I mean real news, news of the day or the hour etc is slanted liberal when it is not given the right wing slant. Shepherd simply reports most times with the facts as they are told and reported. That in conservives minds means "liberal"? It amazes me that conservatives no longer accept anything as moderate and fairly said. Bottom line with conservatives is if not told in a Conservative slant, that means it is a liberal promoting person giving the report. Shepherd Smith is a Conservative and happens to be a real and fair reporter, for the most part. He still does follow the script given out by Faux talking heads. He however will not distort any real story of importance. Conservatives that really are not conservatives in the way they live are some real non thinkers. All I hear from these kinds of people are word for word idiocy as told to them by Rush, Hannity and talk radio. I challenge them to explain some reasoning and background to the issue and claim and get nothing. Anyone that is not in the real Conservative lifestyle, i.e. corporate executives, investors with big investments and the sort simply do not truly belong in a conservative way of thinking. Nothing in that ideology benefits them. I talk to people asking me how they can get on Social Security disability, get other benefits and such, yet talk about their neighbor or persons they know that are receiving some form of benefit as though they were awful. I know a lot of people like that. Have no clue what conservative stands for and if they listene3d and researched what they are being told, as I do, maybe, just maybe some would realze that is not them. If they have big bucks and want to keep every dime, then they are conservative. We as a remarkable ever changing and growing Country would never have gotten to wjhere we are if we lived according to todays kind of Conservative thinking. We grew and evolved into a world power because of adapting to change. We have lead the way in change that carries us through ever evolving world. Conservatives today believe strictly in status quo. To say the Constitution is a dead . engraved in stone document is so off base. The amendments were made for what reason? To move on, make us a stronger and better as well as open minded Country.
I could write a book about this and maybe I should. I would challenge any conservative on this and many issues regarding todays conservative. I have purposely refrained from using caps on the word Conservative just as a point in what I am trying to say. This means I ask people to think that out and what do I mean by that. That would be a good start to open your thinking and really look into things said by either side. We are a moderate/centrist and God loving Country. God has been a major partof our beginning, but not Christianity solely. We are a Country of of many religions and were formed based on a Godly nation period! To insult the forefathers and the other religions is wrong. I am a Christian, a good Christian. I just know from research that we were not founded under one form of belief. That takes away from the reason we left England and the diversity we were founded under.

Apr 2nd 2009 11:57AM Just amazin how these are the same people who told libs and Dems, there is a difference , to stop talking bad about the President (Bush). Now we here trash about Obama and he hasn't even had a fair chance yet. I have yet to hear any other ideas on getting this Country back to where we were before Bush. There was a reason his approval rating was second lowest in history. Yes even worse the Carter. Bush did, by far, damage the economy more than Carter. How can average people who have no clue what their talking anout, make intelligent commentary regarding the economy. Many experts agree in two ways with the Obama plan. They say it is risky BUT doing nothing is worse. We are still in a downslide and will bottom out by summers end. All still due to Bush policy. Obama or anyopne for that matter can stop that. what can be done though is implement a plan that will get people working and money moving again. It will take some cycles but if given that it can really move us back, we have to chance it. I challenge anyone on here to detail whats wrong with the plan rather than repeat talking points from the right. Easy to say it will fail and it will cost our kids. Explain what it is exactly that will cause the plann to fail! None can and none have. It is simply people piling on repeating what tal radio tells them , just leke everything else they say.

I assure you, he would not have been released still heavily sedaTED. hOW DO WE KNOW seriously what part of this may just be a kid messing with his dad although of course feeling some effects. He is on video and many kids, my grandson for one, loves to put on a show. So ridiculous you semming to be do gooders that just need to get a life!

Reply: Thats always a good cop out response when nothing worth while to say. Look, there would be some truly boring TV, radio periodicals and other types of activity. If no one ever wrote about odd things, interesting wierdo stuff and such. we would probably all be short in the humor dept like most conservatives. As for disliking a show, where did I say I watched it? Lest ye forget, this is a response tag for written commentary on just about anything. I was responding, (not complaining) and most here were not either. Try to get a grasp for what this particular site is, does and all about. For example, you responded to my comments even though completely wrong about your comments regarding what I did, said and why I said it! As I always do of course was research prior to responding. I never comment without being certain that what was stated was accurate. This was accurate and funny. Why always name calling? If people have a problem actually making a fair and intelligent comment without having to blast and insult the person their addressing, either learn to simply comment or move on to something easier to respond to. I do, by the way, have free time on occassion for allowing myself some enjoyment and pleasureable activity. U see, a fairly common train of thought can prevail in insignificant utterances, it goes like this: "If you and I were speaking,say in a group, you would not be able to comprehend the signifance of most utterance, because most words would be to copius for your limited dimension of comprehension. You see, Maybe I like "insignificant crap!" Maybe it helps me get thru inane comments made to me via this kind of site.

That may be true that she is more comedic and tasteless BUT we have a huge number of ditto head types that believe all this and it is serious stuff stated to often lately. To attack a Max Cleland is outrageous. He is a good man who gave 3 limbs for the people of this great Country. It is getting very serious and talk radio along with all the hate mongers on the right have seperated this Country more than anyone or anything ever has. I listen so I can keep up with the trash, lies and personal name calling and attacks. I have seen and heard to much. As a fellow vet, I would never do what the "Swift-boaters" did to Kerry, to ANY VET! There was a time decent vets were flat out off limits regarding their service. Americans should NEVER attack or demean any vets service. What they did to Cleland and Kerry was un-American! Ann was a leading proponent and she needs to be exposed. Say all you want about their record outside military life... Man how can Americans who claim they totally support the military in one statement come back and denegrate these great Americans so profusely ?
I have no concern for free speech when it applies to lies about anyone but mainly our vets and war heroes who have Purple Hearts, Silver Stars and Presidential commodations as Cleland and Kerry have.

You have it right about his alleged promise to continue for the long haul and all the way to the convention . Just another example of how he just says what is convenient for the moment. Romney came across to me as a baby and used a ton of his
OWN" millions to forward his flip flopping. As Mass Gov, he went along with Dems and even some liberal ideals because he loves to be loved. He switched on so many ideals to run for president, you people need to check the record for yourself. He was not a true Conservative. Nor is McCain. There are not many left in office. It is not a winning forum any more. People saw through it finally and look at 2006 election with Santorum and George both literally losing their seats. Both planned on running for prez but when you can no longer even win your own area seat, it says things loud and clear. The far right Conservative movement is dying and moderates are again a mainstay of the Republican Party. Look at the candidates, period!

I hear all the time Hillary will say or do anything to win. Chgeck out Romney. Oh by the way Bill Sowles,"George" is not running this time around. His sone Mitt is. If this isn't a prime example of people lacking the knowledge and facts yet tryu to speak as they know of what they say. Listening to talk radio is nnothing but brainwashing and mindless jibber. To just believe what they say without doing your own verifyiong and research, is mindless in its own right. I am researching all the time taking full advantage of the computer to do so. What a great tool to assist us in making thought out well documented decisions. I read more rhetoric on this site right now that I really thought I would. Romney was having real trouble and coulodn't handle it. Hew literally lied about his record in Massachussetts. McCain is not much better but is more Conservative. Compare records, it is easy to do.

Mar 16th 2007 10:40AM This is such a mess with this whole administration. It seems they can do nothing right. They are either really stupid or simply and totally arogant without concern for the people who elected them.
The talking points for Republicans is a regular daily activity. Once it starts, thats all you hear. It is switching some though from blaming Bill Clinton to what Hillary would do. People need to wake up and realize this Karl Rove run administration is as corrupt as any in history and then some. Every week we see another scandal and then out come the talking points that try to sway or blame Clinton. He did it so we can. He did nothing different than Bush 41. All US Attorneys when Clinton took over were Bush appointees. Now it is up to Clinton to reappoint them or "ACCEPT" their resignations. That is not a firing, it is a "transition"! No firing! Transition, get it.
