Christina Aguilera Botches National Anthem at Super Bowl, Admits Mistake (PopEater)

Feb 6th 2011 8:31PM I could not believe that she forgot the words. The anthem is about our country not the singer, so why do all these entertainers change the way it is sung. How about sing it the way it was meant to be sung. How about having a real American, lets say a service man or woman, sing it. They would respect the song for what it is.

Mark McGwire Cards' New Hitting Coach (Fanhouse MLB Blog)

Oct 26th 2009 7:51PM I'm OK with it. But how about given Pete a break now! Rose never cheated to win bets, he only bet his ego that he would beat everyone else! Pete never cheated and was never cheated in his career. He got more out his physical abilities than any player I've ever watched and he did it through pure hard work and hustle. They didn't call him Charlie Hustle for nothing. If Ray Fosse had have been his grandmother, he would've bowled her over just the same if it meant winning the game. Come on Selig, if you're going to let McGuire back in baseball, then stop being ridiculous and let the one of the best players ever back into the game. To do less would make you look very biased and unworthy of your position.

Best Buy Sued for Being Scummy (Switched)

Mar 16th 2009 9:04AM My experience with Best Buy is this. If you choose to shop there, ignore their ads. 99% of the time they will not have the advertised item when you get to the store. I'm talking about big ticket items such as computers, TV's and the like. I have been to Best Buy many times within the first couple of hours of an ad breaking to purchase an advertised item, only to find that it was sold out. They tell me they had 4 or 6 when they opened. While their ads may be legal, they are unetheical. How many customers do they serve in a stoe in a given week and what percentage of those customers would be able to buy one of their sale items. If you shopped at your local supermarket and they advertised a gallon of milk for 99 cents you would expect to be able to purchase a gallon of milk for 99 cents when you arrived at the store no matter what time of the week you arrived, and you would either get your milk or a raincheck. Why is it OK for Best Buy to entice customers to shop at their store through advertising a price that such a small % of their customers are able to take advantage of? Sounds like bait and switch to me and our consumer groups do nothing to stop this. Best Buy is not the only stores involved in this. I've had the same experience with Staples, Circuit City and Office Depot. Well at least CC got their dues. Hopefully these other retailers will get their dues if they keep bilking the consumers!

Drew Rosenhaus Says Anquan Boldin Would Love to Play for the Dolphins (Fanhouse NFL Blog)

Sep 12th 2008 8:53PM What is it with wide receivers? Seems lie they all think their teams revolve around them. T.O., Ocho Cinco, Randy Moss, Boldin, and the list goes on and on. How about playing out your contract without complaining all the time? Maybe they need to put a take away clause in their contracts that say whenever they underperform, they lose money. Everytime they chose to bad mouth their team they lose money. Last time I checked, football was a team sport and when you start becoming a cancer to your team, you're worth nothing. Quit if you don't like it. I'm sure all of these athletes were happy with their contract when they signed it. Ever heard of honoring your contracts and committments? Drew Rosenhaus is a cancer to the NFL. It's amazing that evertime we hear of these things happening, Rosenhaus's name is connected. Put a helmet on him and let him QB to his great receivers and see how successful they are. Better let him get clobbered by a couple of linebackers in front of a national audience so that we all can see this joyous event. Might be rated higher than the Super Bowl!

D'backs Steal Adam Dunn from Reds (Fanhouse MLB Blog)

Aug 11th 2008 6:22PM Major league sports may never return to Cincinnati. The Bengals draft more players with legal problems and make them selves look like idiots, but the Reds are not to be outdone! Lets trade two very good offense players that are two of the few players anybody in the majors would be interested in and get nothing in return for either player. I'm sure the Reds will sell a lot more tickets next season with the likes of the three players they acquired. Come to the ball park and watch John Doe, John Doe and John Doe. Seems like we have saw this act before from Dick Wagner in the early eighties and we all know how well that worked out. At least they will sell more programs at the game. That's the only way anyone will have to identify the players. THe really sad thing about these trades were the fact that they got virtually nothing in return. If a player of Adam Dunn's age and with 4 straight years with 40 plus home runs can't bring in at least one top notch prospect we don't know how to bargain. I know his defense is suspect but there are quite a few teams in the AL that could use a designated hitter with his credentials. Say what you want about his AVG and K's, the man produces runs, and bottom line is runs win games, not AVG. They should have kept Dunn and built a team around him. They won't go out an acquire a free agent worth having, and now they proven that they won't even keep the homegrown products.

Why Are NASCAR Ratings Down? You Decide (Fanhouse Motorsports Blog)

Nov 3rd 2007 3:55PM The same thing that is destroying baseball is destroying Nascar. Just one or two teams have a real chance at a championship each year, the drivers are not loyal or their teams and vice versa. I was a big Dale Jarrett fan but I am loyal to Ford. Thus when Jarrett switched to Toyota, I no longer care to follow him. Jarrett should've sticked to what got him to the big time. The new generation of fan is being lost to other more exciting things and the old generation is lost from all of the changing of teams.
