How Long Can You Go Without Washing Your Hair? (Stylelist)
Mar 14th 2010 3:36AM I used to wash every day with a pretty strong shampoo, but my hair doesn't seem to do well with that any more (being not in middle school any longer I suppose), so I use a milder one with conditioner built-in. I switched shampoos, and found that it actually over-conditioned like crazy (even though it's labeled "medium" level), but I still washed every day anyway (at least days that I went out in public), and then found one day that it just wasn't over-conditioning any more. I thought it was because my hair hair was getting longer and the longer portion was getting older and naturally more damaged, but then I got a haircut and the same newer shampoo felt perfectly normal still (no over-conditioning on fresh hair). I switched back to a stronger shampoo (still with conditioner, but less), and my hair felt very dry and light, even stood up a little more. After a few days of using the older shampoo (one day half-half mix to test, but they didn't actually seem to mix very well) my hair is oiling up a little bit more. Going on second day without washing now, and there is some build up, but still no where near what I used to get in just 16-20 hours (end of the day). Maybe it's just a lack of teenage hormones now, but it's definitely a lot of changes.
Semi-scientific? Consider it one case study.
Did Lindsay Lohan Get Plastic Surgery? (PopEater)
Oct 21st 2009 1:16AM I can't reply to replies, but first off, to everyone saying that she shouldn't be thin like she used to be because it's unhealthy--- Any weight gain she's had lately is BECAUSE of the unhealthy things she's been doing. It can have that effect, directly or indirectly. I'm not saying everyone should be stick-thin, but for many people, what is considered the "normal weight" is actually too much for them, and likewise for many people the "normal weight" is too little. Everyone's different there.
Second, she really HAS changed a lot over the years, and I really hadn't picked up on some of the changes. It doesn't look like much surgery beyond injections, if that. In only one of the pictures does it really look like she had anything done. In the others it's very questionable, and in the second to last photo it doesn't look like anything was done. Only skin damage there.
I just hope she gets through whatever problems she may have still, whether or not she gets her spotlight back.

May 20th 2009 8:27PM This article is informative, sure, and I doubt I would have found out about this on many other sites, but the author really should be sure to check his spelling, I mean SERIOUSLY.

MySpace Diatribe Not Protected by Privacy Rights, Says California Court (Switched)
Apr 11th 2009 12:42AM And my first comment didn't really directly respond to your comment, but it's more just my first thoughts on the issue.
Anyway, agreed that whatever's posted to the internet is posted to the public is publicly available, but I'm not entirely clear on norms for quoting private citizens or reproducing their writing or work. A MySpace or Facebook note is considered a publication to some extent, and you're not allowed to post anything copyrighted already. Now that would imply, with the "publications" and especially with copyrights being involved, that any note posted is explicitly the poster's intellectual property and thus subject to their discretion in terms of reproduction.
On the other bits I think we still pretty much agree.
Do you or anyone else know how this is handled?
MySpace Diatribe Not Protected by Privacy Rights, Says California Court (Switched)
Apr 11th 2009 12:33AM The question to me is not whether the writing was publicly available, but whether the principal of the high school had the right to send it in to the newspaper of the town, and whether that newspaper company had the right to publish her writing, the writing of a private citizen, without her own explicit consent.
What were the principal or the newspaper company planning to accomplish by posting that note? To simply say "Hey, look out, this person hates the town," That really doesn't seem very news-worthy. And really, what would that accomplish them? Seriously, if they were insulted, they could have asked her themselves, instead of publishing it to the whole town before actually letting her know-- or getting her permission. It's a simple courtesy, something they obviously lack.
And the repercussions were tremendous, harassment at school, closing down of business, effectual forced relocation of living. Judging by those scornful and hateful people, this is one seriously messed up town, and I'd hate to live there myself.

Jan 23rd 2007 9:07PM I must say, Nintendo's Zelda games have been rather disappointing lately. Nothing that I've tried's compared yet to OOT or MM -- Windwaker included, and I don't expect its DS sequel to fare any better.
I'd say there's still a bit of hope for The Twilight Princess, though, but I still don't quite favor the Wii remote. Or even the name "Wii" for that matter.
