Jan 7th 2010 3:03PM Yes you are so right. My son worked for Starbucks and couldn't stand having to throw that food out. His manager allowed the employees to take the food home. When my son brought the food home, I would then take it to work the next day for my co-workers to enjoy.
Also, I used to support Krispy Creme, but one night upon closing, I saw one of the employees take a bag that had about 200 doughnuts in it, and place it outside by the curb. I figured that at least the homeless people standing around would be able to take the doughnuts. But no. The employee proceeded to take a bottle of bleach and pour it over all the doughnuts in the bag. I went ballistic and asked why would he do that. He said it was procedure so no one could eat the doughnuts. Anyway, after numerous complaints from many patrons, Krispy Creme tucked their tail between their legs and moved out of the city.
