Jan 3rd 2011 12:08AM Come on Emily, it is not a gender thing at all. It is more like a lack of upbringing. I have never dated a girl that was cleaner or more tidy than myself. As a matter of fact a lot of women I have dated were pigs. Dirty floors and bathrooms, clothes and shoes everywhere. No towels or hand towels in the bathrooms and dishes piled in the sink. I blame their parents for the most part. However, i know that some people are just lazy and parents can't fix that.
When I was growing up my room had to be cleaned and I had to clean my own bathroom. My mom taught me to clean and iron and I started cooking with my dad when I was ten years old. When I hit junior high I did my own laundry and I had to make dinner for the family once every week. My Grandma taught me how to fix my own clothes and the importance of good grooming to a potential future girlfriend such as clean clothes and shoes, brushed teeth and clean and clipped nails. I know not all kids growing up have that kind of guidance. For the most part if the parents are pigs so will the kids be.
So in my opinion it is not gender or maturity it is what you are taught growing up and the quality of your parents.

Nov 17th 2010 1:55PM How about this. Why don't they disallow such behaviour from both sides. Niether one, purple shirts included, have anything to do with the learning process. They are both disruptive as far as I am concerned. Now that being said the teacher was so so so wrong. If somebody can wear a shirt supporting the gay lifestyle I have the right to wear one that says I do not. You can't have it just one way. Just because I do not support your cause does not mean I hate you. I do not dislike gays, I am just sick and tired of hearing about it. OK, you are gay we get it, now shut up. You are just a person and being gay does not make you special in any way. Just please quit tossing it in eveybodies face and mabey people would leave you alone.
