Senator Chris Matthews? (Politics Daily)
Nov 12th 2008 5:13PM Actually, what is wrong with this country has more to do with the way we treat those with whom we disagree.
Rather than demonizing someone, shouldn't we listen to what they have to say instead of being a pompous ass?? It is the height of arrogance to assume that someone is evil just because they don't share our opinion.
That's how I get through a full third of the posts on this article, to say nothing of the article of itself.
Apple Slapped With Class Action Suit Over Misleading iMac Ads (Switched)
Apr 7th 2008 4:28PM Sorry it took me so long to post. I'm using Vista...
This isn't about Apple's charm or even the quality of its product. This was a financial/corporate decision.
I don't see how anyone can crow about Windows superiority while complaining about Apple shipping a substandard product--not with the myriad of issues facing Vista users like myself.
Rosie's 'Celeb Detox' Interviews: Clip No. 1 (AOL Video Blog)
Oct 9th 2007 4:15PM Rosie was very entertaining for a long, long time. I've been following her career since she was a stand-up comic. When it became plain that she was a great stand-up MC, I knew it was just a matter of time before she had her own sitcom, movie deal, or talk show. She landed three of them.
Then, she decided to stop talking about the things that unite us--humor, irony, and laughter--and she started talking about the things that divide--"you're wrong and I'm right and that makes you less than me."
Thank you for the good times, Ro. I'm sorry you lost touch with the things that made you a truly great comedienne. I can still see those traits around the edges, but they are drowned out by your judgement of those whom you perceive as judging you.
I wish you all the happiness in the world-- and soon, because you seem to have become so bitter and angry.
Vegas Is the New Hollywood (Vegas Popular Blog)
Apr 21st 2007 8:23PM Don't forget: Sellick had a recurring role vital to the plot development of Friends. I know it was a sitcom, but they accentuated the "sit" and the plot in the later years. Thus, the actor and his mustache figured prominently in the series.
Billy Packer on 'Fag' Comment: 'I Will Use That Phrase Again' (Fanhouse NCAA Basketball Blog)
Apr 5th 2007 12:35PM Did anyone bother to check a dictionary before they piled on this guy?
fagged - adjective
Extremely tired. bleary, dead, drained, exhausted, fatigued, rundown, spent, tired out, wearied, weariful, weary, worn-down, worn-out. Informal beat, bushed, tuckered (out). Slang done in, pooped (out). Idioms: all in, ready to drop. See health/sickness, tired/fresh.
While I reject Josh's "we've all done it" excuse to justify calling someone a sexual epithet, I also reject the ignorance that so many are displaying when it comes to the useage of a fairly common word.
Note to the Politically Correct: You can be MUCH more correct if you'll do your homework. It isn't ALWAYS about oppressing someone...
The 20 Worst Lyrics Ever: No. 5 (Spinner)
Mar 27th 2007 9:21PM I just noticed that the writer must have already realized my point--that making fun of an artist's hard work is the sign of a small mind. They were so proud of this project, they credit the work as "Spinner Staff."
I wouldn't sign my name to it either, bub.
The 20 Worst Lyrics Ever: No. 5 (Spinner)
Mar 27th 2007 9:19PM "But if this ever changing world in which we're livin' makes you give in and cry, then live and let die."
Nice job, guys: Not only are you making fun of people more talented than you (and yes, I'm including Vanilla Ice in that), you're getting it wrong to boot.
"There are no statues built to critics," folks.
If you don't like a song, move on to the next one. There's no need for you to make an ass out of yourself by downing someone else's work--good, bad or indifferent.
Couple investigated for smoking in their own home (That's Fit)
Jan 16th 2007 10:17PM They have no right to intrude in that home. They should leave those poor people alone.
But who am I talking about? The smokers? No...
THEY are the ones who are polluting the house next door. You simply can't put that garbage in my house. I wouldn't stand for it either.
