Hilary Swank on 'Amelia,' Learning to Fly & Meryl Streep (Moviefone Blog)
Oct 24th 2009 5:50PM Earharts' flight in 1937 was headlines..I remember it well.. was 11 years old.. enthused about airplanes... When she was lost, there was more than a fwe comments in the news about her lack of knowledge with morse code communications... Code was an important method for long distance communications. Her overall capability for the kinmd of flight she planned was barely adequate... her memory is kept alive, not by an accomplishment, but rather the mystery of her disappearance.

Oct 24th 2009 5:46PM I remember Ms Earhart's flight..I was 11 years old... enthused about aviation...when she was lost, news reports noted that she lacked experience in morse Code communications which was necessary for long distance communication.I do recall some negativism in the news comments about her overall flight experience. She's kept alive because of the mystery of her disappearance.

Palin E-Mails Suggest Tension With McCain Staffers (Politics Daily)
Jul 3rd 2009 6:41AM I suppose we've had worser candidates for public office...Mrs Palin is a presentable dancing lady who is very attractive as a woman...that may well be enough to make her quite acceptable to the voters, when her time comes. If you subscribe to the common belief that America can survive just about anything or anyone, or any obstacle, then voters will no doubt give Sarah the chance she seems to long for...and who can say right now that she won't do as well or better than,say..George Bush?... John Kerry?... John Edwards?...Al Franken?... "Arnie?"...with appropraie writers for her speaking sessions, and some cramming on the issues, she may hold the voters in the palms of her hands. Good luck, America.
Ann Coulter on O'Reilly: Tiller Murder a 'Termination' (Politics Daily)
Jun 24th 2009 7:43PM Political discussion on the talk show circuit has become a nuisance and more annoying to me as the years have passed.... I avoid anyone who insists on putting political discussion into a dinner subject. I can live very well with none of either party's members, elected or otherwise, coming close enough to me to ask "how are ya?"... as a start.... it very soon broadens into personal opinion on the other guy's part.... Not from me do they get any response..."Please, let me be!". is my reply to a political or religious discussion.
Ann Coulter on O'Reilly: Tiller Murder a 'Termination' (Politics Daily)
Jun 24th 2009 7:38PM Like most converts to a particular religious philosophy, their opinions and statement are a bit hard to take.. Ms Coulter is difficult to listen to.... By the way... O'Reily is not much fun either....howver, I like to see people earning a decent living, and I am impressed with the idea that talk show hosts and hostesses are well paid... and they do have a following.... radio of recent years has driven me back to NPR.... low stress in my dotage.

New Ethics Complaint Filed Against Sarah Palin (Politics Daily)
Nov 20th 2008 6:18AM Personnaly speaking... we haven't had a vice president with a good looking butt before... and it doesn't take any more know-how than Mrs palin has to do the job... plus.. she's great to look at... and can do no worse than, for example, Quayle. So what if she likes to be guided "from above".. big deal...
