Feb 17th 2011 6:08PM I became a single mom, when the ex decided to come out of the closet and left us. I can tell you that I have never felt more liberated. I am seeking a Masters degree, that will allow me to eventually work overseas. My kids are doing great. They are both honor students and love the fact that Mom is achieving a higher degree. I am responsible for their well being and mine. We are all more happy and enjoying a great time. They know my goal to go overseas and are rooting for me to get there.

There are never going to be the caliber of players in baseball as there were of the BIg Red Machine of the 1970's. Those players had a God given talent and used it. Rose, Bench, Griffey, Sr, Concepcion...some of the greatest ball players evah!

Jun 25th 2010 9:11AM As a recently divorcee from a closeted gay male, I can truly relate to the article. We were married for 13 1/2 years with 2 children. All the points listed I can reflect back and remember that he did those things. I was shocked when he told me last June that he was leaving and living his new life. It just blows my mind that my life from 1995 until 2009 was basically a lie. Those years I will never get back. I will have to deal with him for the rest of my life, for the sake of my children. They do not know he is gay. I have told him that he needs to tell them and he can expect to pay the counseling bill for our teenage son. I honestly believe that my kids will not have much to do with him after that revelation, as they are both upset in the way he left last year. I am sure he is happy now that he is not living in the closet, but there is a family, both immediate and exteneded, that have been destroyed.

Jun 5th 2010 10:50PM My husband left me a year ago today. He came out of the closet. We were together for 14 years. I had no clue that he was sneaking around behind my back. But looking back I guess there may have been a few subtle hints, but nothing to make me think he was gay. But I am a survivor. He is gone and living his bachelor life. I am a single mother raising 2 kids that have no clue about their father, other than he left because he didn't love me anymore. Our divorce was just finalized. So nice to know that the last 15 years of your life was a big lie.
