What to do when the price at the register is wrong (WalletPop)

Dec 7th 2008 5:22PM The Attorney General ruling in Michigan for wrong pricing is an adjustment of $5.00

Bill Clinton for Senate (Politics Daily)

Nov 26th 2008 12:51PM To pastors hubby: No man is perfect, not even pastors.....or their spouses!! Bill Clinton was a good president regardless of whether he made mistakes in his personal life. By the way, semen is not spelled seamen

Solving Michigan's decrepit roads by going back to gravel? (Autoblog)

Mar 27th 2008 8:21AM Why does a side street with houses on it need to have a paved road

Randy - that depends on what township official lives on the road as to whether it is paved or gravel! I lived on gravel roads for years & they aren't fun when they are like a washboard or bump after bump. I will take paved roads with potholes any day.

TSA theft: Washington, D.C., travelers find many of their claims denied (Gadling)

Mar 11th 2008 5:24PM My comment is about damage, not theft. My Samsonite hard shell has a digital latch that I never lock. TSA employee(s) cut the latch straight across. The luggage is still under warranty but I had to drive 60 miles RT to have it sent to the repair company. TSA denied my claim for $15, of course. They claim they did not abuse my luggage. I now have a big sign taped on next to the lock saying "THIS IS NOT LOCKED". Time will tell if they know enough to read!

Five Most Stolen Gadgets (Switched)

Feb 1st 2008 7:19AM A Garmin doesn't need to be attached to the window to work. Before I leave my car, I put the Garmin in its bag and stick the bag in the console between the seats. The car is always locked when not in use so even if it is broken in to, the thief would have to look for awhile.

Hot Seat: So, Who's Leading Now? (Politics Daily)

Jan 30th 2008 4:14PM I am disappointed John Edwards didn't get more support. He would be an excellent choice for VP. Hilary is a smart woman and very capable of being president. I hope Bill will allow her to run her own campaign and quit "horning" in. As for Obama, I am unsure of whether I will vote for him. He also is smart, an excellent speaker, but I don't have good feelings about him as president for some reason.

Girl Scout Cookies: Old favorite, learning opportunity, or clever scam? (WalletPop)

Jan 7th 2008 6:09PM Back in about 1955 I was one of the Girl Scouts selling cookies for 35 cents per box - which had more and better cookies than the ones sold today although we didn't have as many varieties back then. I think it was a good experience and I still do for today's scouts. The price, however, is high with the scouts getting very little of it. If the girls sell outside of the town area where the houses are not close to each other, then there is the price of gas involved. Scouting, though, is a great organization and selling cookies at whatever price is a tradition.

Fast food secrets you don't want to know (That's Fit)

Dec 28th 2006 7:38PM I loved Checkerburgers in the south (Rallyburgers in the north) until one day, instead of ordering at the drivethrough, I ordered at the window. I saw the young man who took my money with the latex gloves on fix my burger with the same gloves. I confronted him about it after which he apologized and fixed another burger for me (with clean gloves). That pretty much cured me of fast food. Checkerburgers have never appealed to me since.
