Valve jokingly drops MMO code into latest Team Fortress 2 patch (Joystiq)
May 3rd 2009 3:55PM If you want to play a spy-checking, chaingun-toting MMO, how abouyt you just pick up a copy of The Agency on PS3 when it releases.
Devs say Little Big Planet not possible on the 360 (Joystiq Xbox)
Sep 10th 2008 12:04PM WTango, are you serious? MGS4 is far superior to any PS2 game and definitely better looking than COD4. You have obviously never played it. Why does everyone have to trash other system exclusives? You like what you like, I like what I like and everyone has their own opinion. If you dont like the game and arent interested in it, as you all seem to be saying, then stop complaining about it and bashing other systems. LBP is taking over 40gb on the blueray disk because it will contain tutorial videos, the actual game, the base levels and each disk has 2 different paths to complete it. The Dev version and the User version. This is why it takes so much space. Im personally not all that excited about this game, but I will definitely pick it up and try it. I personally prefer to play my PS3 over my XBOX because I am a fan of the PS3 exclusives and my friends are on PS3 and I am just more comfortable with the PS3 controller. (Plus my BOX died) I will then say that im sure some, if not all of you, are fans of Halo but I personally think the game is highly overrated but I am not trying to start flamewars. Most of the greatest games are multiplatform anyway so enjoy what you have. Go ahead, downvote me now.
Ubisoft in-house titles to receive subtitles (Joystiq)
Sep 10th 2008 11:38AM Well this stinks. I HATE subtitles. Im surprised everyone else is for them. I dont want to see little lines of text to distract me from the game. My excitement for Far Cray 2 just went down 10% from this fact alone. If they are putting them in, they should be off by default and if you want them, you should have to turn them on like closed captioning
Quartermann: Rockstar's PS3-exclusive title (Joystiq Playstation)
Aug 27th 2008 1:36PM Its not LA Noir but I almost wish it was. I dont know why they have to keep this a big secret. Just come out with it. I just hope the tension isnt building up to a major letdown.
Kindergarten party raided (ParentDish)
Aug 21st 2008 5:37PM Thats classic. It'd be even funnier if thats how they actually showed up at the party...LOL!
Burnout Paradise 'Cagney' update for Xbox 360 delayed until July 14 (Joystiq)
Jul 10th 2008 3:08PM This article is INCORECT and MISLEADING. The delay was not caused by the so called Live rigerous certification process...Right on the criterion website it plainly states that:
"The 3rd and most ambitious FREE software update for Burnout Paradise will arrive later than expected for Xbox 360 players.
We've picked up some additional bugs in our final test phase for the 360 version of Cagney and will delay until these issues are resolved."
Hmmm is Joystiq a little biased and showing a bit of 360 fanboyism?

Windows XP Officially Unavailable After Today (Switched)
Jun 30th 2008 3:52PM I have vista with no issues and I work on a PC all day every day. I run serious software every day that requires heavy ram and CPU usage, browse the internet, get my email and instant message without problems. If you have software that was built for XP, odds are that you can download a patch to make it work for vista (that is even if you have to because most software doesnt need the patch) People need to start learning and stop paying attention to the rumors that are flying about vista not working. You will see, once you use it, that Vista is FAR better than XP.
Survey Says 8 in 10 Businesses Now Use Macs (Switched)
Jun 27th 2008 7:33PM ummm this is one hell of a biased article. Lets see they said: "they come with a utility called "Time Machine" that allows a user to essentially go back to a moment when a computer was operating properly in case a problem occurs" Umm Windows has that too, its called "System Restore". You just pick a date on the calendar and virtually turn back time on your computer and it uninstalls anything that was installed in that timeframe but also ensures that all your files remain intact. The desktop search being easier is completely an opinion and has no fact basis and iChat is basically the same thing as Windows Live Messenger except that it is less functional. Looks like Will Safer is a Mac fanboy huh?
PS3 Grand Theft Auto IV is 640p, nobody cares (Joystiq)
Apr 30th 2008 1:46PM thats funny, I got the PS3 version and if I am playing and hit info on my TV it says 1080p HD in the upper right hand screen. If I do this with Burnout...it says 720p so you cant say that the TV always says that or anything...it changes depending on what the output from the system is...just thought I would mention that.
