'Porn Wikileaks' Reveals Adult Stars' Real Names, Home Addresses (Switched)

"There is consequences?"
Yeah, not gaining a proper education does have consequences, yes... like looking foolish while beating ones' chest about how other people should expect to suffer for doing "stupid shit."
If people didn't try to shame and mistreat those who choose to "expose themselves for money, there'd be nothing to hide, would there?"
Are we to assume that because you don't do porn, you'd be comfortable having your parents names and places of employment put on a website? How about your medical records or scans of your ID?
Or... is that difference cuz you're such a moral and upstanding member of your community and nobody has a right to force "consequences" on you when you've done nothing wrong?
Sarah Palin: Obama Girls Off Limits, Why Aren't Mine? (Politics Daily)
Jun 12th 2009 6:38PM Dear Crystal --
History precedes the "Lay off my wife" quote, although many in the GOP and conservative camps seem to think that other than the Reagan years, the world began when Sarah Palin ran for POTUS... excuse me, VPOTUS.
In late summer/exceptionally early autumn (August/September) both Barack and Michelle Obama made it quite clear that they felt Palin's family should be "off limits."
The initial quote from Barack was repeated and re-emphasized by Michelle while she was on the Ellen DeGeneres show. (http://tinyurl.com/ntq3an) I can't find a link to the original quote, but I remember hearing it and reading about it. The aforementioned link clearly and repeatedly references it and expands on the sentiment.
How soon the Palinestas forget anything that doesn't promote their vision of Palin as Eternal Victim.
Sarah Palin: Obama Girls Off Limits, Why Aren't Mine? (Politics Daily)
Jun 12th 2009 4:21PM Something Sarah keeps intentionally forgetting is that Obama's comments about the media leaving families alone were in reference to HER FAMILY!
Meanwhile, she gleefully accused him of "palling around with terrorists" and being un-American.
Alas for her, her family was simultaneously involved in the kind of high drama, high profile antics that the mainstream media and its gossip hungry audience adore -- and the comics of the world are celebrating their rich trove of joke fodder.
Letterman was definitely pushing the boundaries and given that his writers did a poor job of checking their facts before letting him run off at the mouth, he deserves some condemnation -- but he didn't joke about raping anyone. Bristol appears fully capable of choosing sex partners and there's no law (until her mom becomes POTUS) against pointing that out.
Oh, and one reason the Obama girls are currently untouched is because they're pre-adolescent and adolescent girls who are exceptionally well-behaved. In fact, the Obama family appears to have the kind of deep family values that the GOP crows about regularly, but likes to attach a white face to when it does so.
Levi Johnston Says Bristol Palin "Is Totally Different Now" (ParentDish)
Apr 23rd 2009 11:01PM I'm amazed at how cruel and judgmental supposed adults can be to a confused teen who's utterly out of his depth.
Levi's a barely legal teen who is freshly the father of his governor's grandchild. Heavy shit to begin with -- but then add the whole running for president... errr. short-term vice-president thing and all its family circus sideshow shell game and I'm not at all surprised that he's been left blinking in the camera flashes and wondering what the heck has been going on.
Child support payments? Come on, folks. Levi sounds like he'd like to be making 'em if he had a job, but he's in a tight spot for getting one of those just now. And don't I remember Palin's father boasting about the hundreds of thousands of baby gifts Bristol received from complete strangers? I think Levi's got some "get your GED and a job" time here... if he doesn't become the object of Sarah's baleful gaze.
Levi couldn't talk his way out of a wet paper sack, but he seems sincere. It's interesting to see so many people attack someone who's so clearly an Everyman and so guileless.
Oh -- and all you drug warriors who think Levi's mom is some threat to national security... she was selling oxy, for goodness sake. She wasn't cooking up meth in the bathroom. I don't think she's qualified to perform brain surgery, but she seems daffy in love with the very concept of a grandchild, so I'm thinking the kid with too many names will feel very nurtured and adored at his dad's house. And mom's not exactly living on her McDonald's cashier paychecks. I get the impression that the governor's got enough money to help her daughter out until things get evened out by court order or mutual negotiation.
Honestly, there's nothing to see here folks, except for an internationally famous political figure making an absolute ass of herself and a few kids suffering because of it.
E-book barred from App Store due to obscene content (Engadget)
Dec 25th 2008 3:12AM It sure would be nice if folks would use the word "obscene" within its proper context. Obscene content (which oddly enough always seems to be sexual -- violence is apparently quite wholesome) is illegal. Perhaps what the monkeys at Apple meant was that the content was deemed "indecent" but their simian proto-brains.
Luxe Life AVN Awards Red Carpet Photos (Vegas Popular Blog)
Jan 16th 2007 1:29AM I was there. It was a good night, although the Venetian was a much friendlier environment for all those high heels -- and the way things were set up at Mandalay Bay made it really hard to network or socialize. It was sad to see husbands and wives separated for the Red Carpet area, too. I heard several nominees complain that they were turned away from the Red Carpet while their non-nominated staff (or even fans) were let on. Hopefully that will be streamlined and made more efficient next year, if we go back there.
As for the morally courageous "xyz's" comments: prostitutes are by nature "paid," moron. And it's spelled "their." Maybe instead of spending so much time patting yourself on the back for being so much better than the men and women who work in the adult entertainment industry, you should take a remedial spelling class.
