Modern Kitchen Makeover (Shelterpop)

Apr 8th 2011 5:44PM For us folks out here who are having a little trouble figuring out how the old dark room became the
new space: it is impossible to figure out what they did. No wonder a lot of people think it is two
different homes. Definitely a pricey demolition and makeover. Some big bucks went into that
job. As for the "chandelier"; it is trendy and the new look designers are using, but not sure it is a
great idea to offer all those hanging cables/wires to some obviously young children living there. I had visions of one of the kids waiting til mom was busy and climbing up on the table for a little
tarzan stunt... yikes.

Gladys Horton of the Marvelettes Dead at 66 (Spinner)

Jan 27th 2011 4:16PM Wow, from an era that made the best music ever, it saddens me each time I hear one of them has passed.
Today's listeners may or may not understand when it is stated that the music and bands from that era were pure talent without the aide of anything fancy to help their voices or sound. I hold a lot of admiration for so many of the songs and groups which sprang from the 60's.

The Underbelly Project -- A Secret Art Gallery Beneath the Streets (Asylum)

Nov 2nd 2010 6:43PM dragonize1 made a really great point. Too bad all the wasted and rotting space in the city can't be used for a better purpose than only building housing no one can afford. Give the people out there somewhere to go and enjoy talented people whose work we might never see.

The Underbelly Project -- A Secret Art Gallery Beneath the Streets (Asylum)

Nov 2nd 2010 6:37PM Europe has their undergrounds; Canada has their haunts. New Orleans has its secrets. Nice to know some brave and talented artists have now given us an underground of interest in the big apple. Thanks to all of you. You are a brave bunch.

Whoopi and White House Crasher Go Toe-to-Toe (PopEater)

Aug 7th 2010 11:01AM This couple is creepy to begin with; the whole crasher story, although boring, is "off" since they are in previous photos with the So Called President before the crashing.

I like Whoopi and I am sure she was very angry at being accused of manhandling this chick. Looks Miz MS is trying to gain some sort of sympathy for what? Hollywood exposure.

10 True Blues Artists (Spinner)

Jun 22nd 2010 11:39PM Great new TNT show: Memphis Beat. Another hit for TNT; good job to all.

Jesse James Loves Sandra Bullock 'More Than Anything in His Life' (PopEater)

Apr 6th 2010 8:05PM he will continue to do exactly what he does; cheat. this is not about being a sex addict. this is about being a man who is now in the very public eye for messing around behind his wife's back with other women. to make it even worse, the creep actually acted like his wife had left the marital home or that they were not together as a couple any longer. he is a con artist, pure and simple. Sandra needs to move on, minus a bad choice in a husband. She has it all going on; she will eventually be fine.

Why I'll Always Like Angelina Jolie (Cinematical)

Mar 1st 2010 9:50PM I personally feel, and I do not know her personally, that Jolie is a troubled person under all the sex, adoptions, marriage, non marriage, father, ex husband stuff. Like most people, she has issues; they surface often and are offered to the public. They have been made too public, and that is what defines the line between dignified Hollywood stars from the tabloid stars. Notice that some we truly admire keep a very low profile and we do not know much about their lives, nor should we.

Brooke Mueller in Rehab for Substance Abuse? (PopEater)

Feb 16th 2010 12:49PM Appears that both the Sheehans are a total mess and need help. I feel badly for their children. This is a typical trashy Hollywood family who lost control of themselves and their lives a long time ago. What happened to the Paul Newmans and many more who led decent quiet and pretty normal lives-- while being mega famous???

Life Too Good? Sell Your House. (Housingwatch)

Jan 30th 2010 3:25PM the story has some merits but does not melt my heart at all. The daughter may be on her way to correct thinking about paying it forward and doing without a lot of excess "stuff", but she is not there. Her story, joined with attending a community or state college where she excelled into graduation and worked hard for community causes, probably would go a long way in making it more believable.
