Feb 22nd 2011 1:52PM When I moved away from Seattle I had a drug poss. misdemeanor but in the State I moved to, Nevada, the crime would have been a felony so the State registered me as an ex-felon. This happened in 1973 and it still haunts me. I have lived a crime free and productive life in Casino upper management and as a Private Mortgage Banker. I have done very well but this has been very unfair. I have passed background checks from the Casinos, Banks and the state but it always comes up. I know I have missed out on some opportunities and its been very embarrising. When seeing all these 2nd. chances being passed around for much more serious crimes it really gets me. Why when its Michael Vick, its he did his time and not the rest of us. Same for too many to mention. I am sure the same HR rep. is cheering him on as he shakes his head as he reads my Resume' and with todays applications all online who gets the chance to explain?

Jun 8th 2010 12:39PM For all the perfect people knocking her english, can you speak more than one language? I work at Citi and its all too clear that obesity is the norm with most the workers. Im not talking 15 - 20 lbs overweight. I can imagine how jelous the female workers are and as far as the males go they are the ones that treat her different. I hope she walks with all the bail out money she can get her hands on.

Jul 21st 2009 7:54PM Come on lets stand up for our rights also!!!!!! Im also very much against that word and many others, My daughters think the "S" word (stupid) is also a bad word which it is. But I am sitting in our local DMV, a public building, and two couples are letting the "N" word and the "F" word flying why is that allowed? We couldnt move due to heavy business and when I complained even the security guard was hesitent to approach them. They were talking about a movie and had to resort to their limited vocabulary, how sad. Even one of my favorite comics says cracker lacking which has to mean without whites!!!!!! Even in a movie for young ones. Come on lets make it really fair. No one should say those words and as far as I know "Aunt" is pronounced the same as the insect!!!!! I have never axed anyone a question!!!! Say what you want about Mexicans but they havent been here over 400 years and are doing a great job at least trying to learn. I guess I have to axxxxe my Auaaaant about that.

Jul 20th 2009 2:41PM Has anyone here known a person just a normal person that made a small mistake, no matter how long ago, and has paid his or her "debt to society" over and over again? That person will always have a difficult time getting past a background check for any employment. That in so many ways is so wrong. I am not a big sports fan and these guys do not impress me in anyway. But I do understand the big business aspect. Do you realize how much the government loves the fact that as long as we can keep our minds occupied with sports we ask very few questions of them? During the season its all people talk about. Sad but true. I do agree that these guys have an unique talent and are rewarded very well for it. The owners use their talents up and push them aside when they are no longer a factor in the profit. But here is where it goes all wrong, they must realize that they get one chance like all of us do and thats it. They mess up and we no longer need them. If this was adhered to it wouldnt take too many seasons before they would conduct themselves as the rest of us do. Look at the classroom space that is wasted every year to a person that just doesnt want to be there and at a high rate are failing. Talk to your kids and they will understand, our universtiy during our champsonship years created a class called "The Theroy of Basketball" and most of the players failed that class. We refered to the players that year as the best basketball team that money could buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UNLV

Jul 10th 2009 5:34PM I couldnt agree less than I do with most of you. The generation before your moms and dads were the ones that screwed this up. Remember why they came, because they couldnt make it in their old countries. Sound familour, and they wouldnt allow their native language used outside of the home. So they didnt go anywhere but with their own. Think of all the people that would speak 2 or 3 languages if they would have past their customs down. If your children do not know another language, spanish comes to mind, they will never live as well as the others that do. What were those people ashamed of? A melting pot is not a group that forgets all their culture, Its a mix that we all take the best from and make it our own. How sad all those people that never spoke because they were ashamed and all the things we could have learned from them. Thats a true melting pot. Dont be afraid to learn, remember its not wrong, its only different.So americans either get with the changes or just sit on your fat ass complaining.

When people such as Jacko and Simpson get their ass in a tight bunch the black community stands so proud to defend them no matter the evidence. These are people that do everything in their power to seperate them selves from the black community, including bleaching their skin. Why?
