Jan 13th 2011 6:29PM I DO NOT KNOW of a country THAT has a LAW that says you or me should tip in order to receive GOOD QUALITY SERVICE or must reward for what we are PAYING OR BUYING! at the price the merchant wants to sell it !!

1. As far as I am concern A TIP > IS A VOLUNTARILY GESTURE ! NOT A REQUISITE FOR YOU OR ME TO GET GOOD SERVICE !

2. In America 'the tip" has become and obligation! people do not understand it is not a government mandatory or regulated form of income! ( to the consumer)

3. Tips , in my opinion damage the 'good willing for a worker to do his job well ", as he gets rated on a "per instance performance' versus "an overall or steady good work" performance, just like most other people in the service labor force. A cook gets a decent base salary, the manager too, the bookkeeper as well etc .

4.RESTAURANTS in particular would be far more successful if they were to CHARGE ALL in one price, what is really worth to have a decent meal and equal respectable decent labor /service. Customers would be able to complain or thank, the manager for what is reasonably and then the performance of a worker would be tally and checked out by the management ..as it should ! and not the one or two time, consumer ! People have way different tastes as to what is decent ... one lousy crabby customer can totally make a great worker in to a basket case ! why should the whole restauran tbe penalized when the next customer gets poor service and this "new" customer then bad mouths the
entire place !!! a bad worker can too be easily fired ...or a good one promoted !

4. If you work for Tips you will always be a Pawn of the consumer ..you will never have a decent , stable , secure lifestyle and so would be your attitude ...a yo-yo when things around you are up an down ...who would want to be treated like that for long! ?

I cna say more but I have to go serve my clients ...I am in the housekeeping biz !!

What to Buy and What to Skip at Duty Free (AOL Travel News)

WITH STOPS OR LANDINGS OTHER THAN AT FINAL DESTINATION ...
FORGET about buying ANYTHING LIQUID regardless of that being DUTY FREE!
but if YOU MUST or can't pass the urge! ...then MAKE SURE IT IS UNDER 3 OZ !!

ANY OVER 3 onces that can fit in your assigned Quart size bag WILL BE CONFISCATED! REGARDLESS OF THE DUTY FREE BAG that too, if you can't have access to your CHECKED luggage !

For IF it is above 3 oz YOU MUST then place in you checked luggage when you get to your "stop -before -boarding your to your final destination"

I just witness the inspectors happy (after arriving in my flight from Paris to Miami) they were ...Happy as kid during Christmas !! ...that after collecting over 20 duty free packages from our group ...as it turns out ..the Duty free stores nor the airlines are obligated to inform you or warn you of that rule !!

it is up to you to READ the disclosure in the magazine back page ! when I asked at duty free and she did not answered ..I bought the 1.7 oz bottle and felt very sad for my companions ...thou they though when we were buying that I was being cheap!

remember IF YOU MUST CARRY IT ...YOU MUST FIT IT IN YOUR QUART SIZE BAG ...SOME WILL LET YOU PASS IT OUT OF THE BAG .IN THE DUTY FREE BAG BUT IT MUST SHOW THAT IT IS UNDER 3 OUNCES!

Some Cell Phone Fans Being Buried With Their Mobiles (Switched)

Dec 16th 2008 11:19PM This is nothing new to me , maybe The ELECTROMAGNETIC Field IS SO STRONG THAT IT CAN TRAVEL FROM THE UNKNOWN (the other side) TO THE REAL AND KNOWN (this side) ? if we are to apply ..belief and an unobstructed soul/spiritual or mental energy??? who can answer that ?
...LET ME EXPLAIN .. my brother passed away from a heart attack at 29 year young ..,,he was young and vivacious ..a pranxter too ! this was over 9 years ago, back then non installed cell phones where just starting to come more and more into the market ( he was part of that industry, too) he had 2 'cordless cell' phones one for work , one for play or social life ..his phone # 's where customized to him ( because he worked detail for a major carrier ..they will never be given out,again) so ..knowing how we loved to chat for hours at a time (he & I, payed no service fees or charges) I burried him with his favorite phone, fully charged and with my numbers in his priority dial ...the same day I said my goodbyes to him ..our home phone started ringing and the line will go fully with sounds of galactic static ! .... there after it rang for months ..at the same time of day ..(when he died) every day ... now it still does ring but on the day of his anniversary ... the daily rings stopped about a couple of years later ... if I am not home ..my cell phone will ring ..if not my work ..i have not change my # ..never will as long as I can keep them ! I feel he is there and here ..nothing bad about that fro me ......however ... my hubby , (now my ex) was freaked out ! and still is ...so ...I don't find this weird at all! ...one of this days ..i am waiting for him to say something !

Teens and Prozac: Are parents to blame? (ParentDish)

Nov 28th 2006 3:02PM My Ex-husband and I, where for 16+ yrs in what I thought was, a very stable environment, a loving and wonderful marriage. We all live in an upper middle class neighborhood in the suburbs, I worked full time from my home office and financially contributed over 80% of the home income. I'm here at home for the kids and everyone else; my kids are being well educated in blue ribbon schools etc, etc.
All of a sudden about 4+ yrs ago, my world went into a spinning tornado, when my loving husband told me one sunny morning he wanted a divorce. The divorce was final 2yrs later, I took care of all, he even got the choice of not paying child support, in exchange for me, not paying him alimony, (which he demanded, regardless of the fact he is better educated than me and has very good job) I got legal guardianship with 67 % child custody, everything seem to have been "so-so, or ok" for all of us during the first year of separation, (regardless of the heartache) since I still saw him and we still spend time together with the kids.
Then about 18 months later , he met a woman and moved in with her soon thereafter, we can all imagine how things went from there, Right after that, he started complaining about my youngest son poor attitude, his poor grades and his bit of aggressive behavior at school, and with peers, etc, etc. Teachers at School where a bit frustrated, asking us "to do something and fast", he had been otherwise always an active kid but also a very talented one in, he was even in a GATE program, (4advance students), we went and had meetings, counseling etc, etc, My Ex, of course immediately (went into denial, of the fact that, the divorce had something to do with any of this), he insisted the kid had ADD or ADHD , his peers and close friends supported the issue, rallied on and gave him referrals to Doctors, and Doctors friends of them. Next I know, I find myself gulping thousand of dollars,(that would be better spent in my kids college or in therapy, for the ex!) in a deaf court house, with greedy unemotional lawyers fitting a motion, to decided when to have my kid placed on "meth" drugs. In the meanwhile, I took matters into my own hands to battle him and the so called "Experts" who said my 14 yr old boy needs "meth" to learn, to behave, understand and to sit still with out talking for whatever! Length of time. What I did? I quit working about 15 hours per week, (from the 65+wkly,I did) to spend more time with him and be more loving and supportive (he is a teenager! after all), I hired 3 tutors from the same schools (teachers who seem to be better and have patience, when paid extra $$ ) YES, ALL, an extra expense with now less income!, (so, I buy less things, eat more proportionally and probably look better! lol) Last, I broke and swallowed "my pride rule", and sued him in a motion to stop his alimony credit and ask that he pay child support and contribute to ½ the “extra education”, so I’ll be able to afford looking well and with care, after OUR son!
But guess what? The California courts are still in a limbo, ruling over the meds, while My sons grades went from Fails, F and barely passing C- , to A's, A+ and A-, and a few B's for a college preparatory school and in a matter of 3 months!, Now, he is a joy to be around helpful and well mannered. My Ex’s response: more “lawyer mambo” saying that "the grades are maybe just a temporary fix" that he still thinks "the meth-drugs, could be a better long term life supporting method". I say, the one needing "his fix is him, with the added court support, “to get him the drugs legally”, then paid by his insurance plus with the bonus "high", for those drugs to be "in a bottle under his kids name", so the Employers don't find it odd, or when other people get concern, as to why are the employees (parents) "carrying them". This "New way" of our, lax American people and society, does not yet realize, how lethal the combination is, when you have, Mediocre Teachers and Schools, Unethical Doctors, Greedy ,Uncaring Lawyers, Prehistoric Courts and Archaic Laws (outdated) being ruled by Caveman like, Judges.
IS TIME TO “Wake up America” THE PRICE IS GETTING HIGHER! …LET’S NOT ALLOW THE “high" of our legal "DRUGS” KILLYOUR FUTURE! And that of your kids!
