Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin mini iPod dock lands for a hands-on {Engadget}

I am here to report that this new B&W Zeppelin Mini, is NOT in the same sound class as the orignal Zeppelin!
I was the 1st to purchase one at J&R in NYC on Nov 3rd. While at times I was very impressed, at other moments the units
sound simple became overwhelmed!
It seem to depend on what music I was actaully playing, and even how it was even recorded.
I had been waiting for -many months- for its release, and had high hopes for this new B&W ipod player.
(this includes before it was announced and just a rumor that B&W put out their about it.
It took J&R in NYC, almost 45 min to actually find it in their huge underground storage area.
When it came up, I was taken on how small the box was. (not in a good way).
When I got it home, and opened the box it was half the size if the small box!
So they were not fooling when they said it was a quarter the size of the Zeppelin.
Bottom line: The Mini DSP attempts to get the sounds very low in the octaves.
It does do so, but with no real punch or authority!
The onboard DAC & two digital amps were indeed very impressive sounding BUT way too much was being pumped into these
two small speakers. The sounds only at times, become distorted.
All sub actives, lows, highs, and mids are played thru with two small 3" speakers!!
They pushed the envelope, a bit further then they have the ability to.
Leaving out the nautilus derived tweeters & powered sub which the larger Zeppelin has was a -very backward move.-
Looks to me as the engineers at Bowers&Wilkins, were given a ultra small footprint to work with.
Full compromise, from a company that never should!
I really do hope that Bowers & Wilkins creates an updated Zeppelin full size model, in the next few years.
(they said they clamied they are not currently).
The worst part is at many moments the Mini does sound great....
As someone who has heard full size home B&W speakers driven with high end Audio Research Tube Amps.....
Lets not comprised this great companies name any further in the future, for a buck.

Sure not all farmers are evil , maybe more like HIGHLY
misguided in their choice of life.
I do not care how well the cows on your farm r treated, cause they are fattened up and healty so you can KILL them
for profit. please what 'utter' non sense this all is.
even the -truly spared- dairy cows, have a life that is always pregant, attached to hoses.. evil is being done, here even if

as long as people think that not eating meat is for pussies,
then this DISGUSTING Lifestyle will continue, along with
the m o r o n s who 'supply' them fresh killed cow each day!
remember, blood internal body parts... are removed before
u ever see it in the neat package. do u really know what
you are eating here???
i would love to see a photo attached to eat cut or packag of meat, with the animal before and then during it was killed.
And yes following that, the picking and choosing of what
is deemed really for human consumtion.
with fruit, nuts, beans, grains.... there is no 'picking and choosing cause u eat the full thing in it entirety.
The way it is supose to be people !

You MUST remember that th beef industry is like Big Pharma or Big Tobacco!
They ar very powerful and have -f u l l- of every 'meat' or 'cow' farmer in the USA as well as over seas!
On top of all that, u have almost every supermarket and
eating establishment in america profitting from shoving
this cow carass garbag down our throats!!
We are talking BIG TIME, power here.
The American way itself, has been marketed as having
meat in our daily live's!
Look at that happened to Oprah years ago when she
went against the Texas Beef Industry.
She is afraid to speak of beef and its 'real' health risks on hr show at all!
Eating what some other dummies kill for, (without u having to see it done) is equal with those who do the slaughtering!
I know what ever our parents fed us as kids has to be good, and full of warm memories.... but it IS wrong to eat anyway.

always get their phone number first and the state they r in. Call them back, from a pay phone with a calling card.(yep)
then explain the bad news either u r not the person and they longer live there OR u r and thye have only 2 remaining 'Dunning' call left with you.

NY u don't have to talk to these m o r o n s.
As i explained above. after three inboound calls in which u answer them they can not call again if u tell them (record it) so !!
a trick they pull is having it automated so, no human talks to you (so u can tell them not to call) u then have to call them a few times and REQUEST THE automated call CEASE. In any case, prepare to record a call if it comes in from real collector and explain what u will of your case but explain u know the law. NO MORE CALLS FROM THESE PEOPLE WHO HAVE ZERO LIFE'S, AND NO REAL JOB! lol

Sep 1st 2009 6:17PM In most states a COLLECTOR can only call you three time, once you inform them you no longer want them to call.
They have the right to collect and bring someone to court, but only do if it is worth it to them.
Bottom line: If a collector keeps calling everyday, and he she (almost always he and a low life at that) explain you know the law and u longer with to have telephone commuication with them. After three times of call, and requests, it then becomes IIEGAL for them to keep calling your home or work !!! I recorded each call when they came in, and told the collector as such.
The Attorney General in their State should be called, if someone crosses this LINE ! The collector in my case freaked out and scrambled once I told him I know the LAW!
if u do not tell them u know these rules, they will NEVER stop calling or tell u of this National Law.
