For Better or For Worse - What was old is new again (ParentDish)
Aug 28th 2008 6:24PM I remember when April was born. I remember when Farley died. I remember when Michael graduated from school, before he started writing. It's been a favorite for a long time, and I look forward to seeing a new take on older times.
Inventor of First Business Computer Dies (Switched)
Jul 2nd 2008 11:54AM Q: Why don't you see any British computers?
A: They never figured out how to make them leak oil.

Do You Have A Favorite Board Game? (AOL Hot Searches)
Apr 20th 2008 1:10AM Strictly speaking, UNO isn't a board game; it's a card game. My favorite game of all time was Waterworks, another card game. You started with a faucet & a spigot, and had to build a pipeline from one to the other by drawing cards, and placing leaky pipe cards on other player's projects. It was hysterical! Haven't seen it in years.
Audeo Neckband Translates Your Thoughts Into Speech (Switched)
Mar 16th 2008 3:46PM Geez, I can't believe the tripe that passes for thinking in these comment spaces. Apparently the majority of you didn't read what it says in the article - IT DOESN'T READ YOUR THOUGHTS AS YOU THINK THEM! It only translates thoughts specifically aimed at spoken sentences, which wouldn't do a bit of good regarding politicians, OR come anywhere close to being the ultimate "thought police" device. It woould DEFINITELY be a boon to vocally handicapped folks, though. It's a tool - everything depends on what you use it for. You can kill somebody with a shovel - do you want to ban those too? Sheesh!
WD-40: 1,997 useful (and weird) uses (DIY Life)
Aug 3rd 2007 10:49AM There are only 2 great, enduring man-tools; WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it moves and it shouldn't, use duct tape to fix. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. And now we find out that they cancel each other out, too! Use WD-40 to remove duct tape - wonderful!
Stink 0, Airlines 1 (Gadling)
Nov 27th 2006 5:41PM Holly, you're absolutely correct. The reason I so infrequently haunt these comment threads is that the disgustingly poor grammer makes my teeth hurt. And it's not confined to the web; I hear the same kind of crap from professional newscasters on major networks. The command of correct English and grammer by the American public is badly on the decline.

By the way, I'm podcasting on basically zero sleep, so this should be fun.

If you're not seeing chat with the podcast, just refresh that bad boy. A little F5 should make things right as rain.
