Apr 27th 2010 11:25AM One of our best Hospitals in South Florida is close to bankruptcy with a 253 million dollar deficit. They are cutting programs and laying off about 20% of their workforce to try and "right the ship". It is rarely reported in the media that over 60% of that deficit (160 million) is unpaid services provided to "undocumented citizens".

The collections departments don't even try and collect these bills. I go to a Hospital and the waiting room is full of spanish speaking indians. They come for children's colds and minor scrapes and contusions that could be handled easily at store front emergi-centers we have in many strip malls. But since it cost $75 per visit at these store front emergency rooms, I rarely or have never seen illegals using them. They know they won't have to pay a dime for an emergency room visit and clog our health care system . They bring the ideology from home that kindness is weakness and exploit it whenever possible. They have absolutely no allegiance to this country and play us for suckers at every opportunity.

I am sick of paying increasing property taxes for hospitals and schools and social services for individuals who don't contribute one cent into the social safety net that they abuse. The only way into America should be through education or blind luck in a lottery. Our new motto should be ""America, The Teet is dry...Try Canada"
