How to Deface Web Sites Without Getting In Trouble (Switched)

May 14th 2008 3:07PM Terrence, I don't want to be a naysayer, but I've seen a couple people use this tool and it did actually make them suddenly as cool as Banksy. They also are more youthful, embiggened in all the appropriate places, and have a lustrous coat.

It's really amazing.

Hack A Day hacked? (The Brian Alvey Weblog)

Jul 17th 2005 6:55AM Congrats on the 7 years! There's a windows version of openssh that runs on top of a light version of cygwin: http://sshwindows.sourceforge.net/ Another option is to have a linux or freebsd box that you upload to. This machine then mirrors everything out to your other servers using rsync. It can mount your windows machines via samba/cifs and you can block everything but ssh to the upload machine at your firewall.

My Stalker wants to buy podcasting advertising ?- this is getting scary. (The Jason Calacanis Weblog)

Jun 10th 2005 7:12PM That's really funny. I've been programming for ms smartphones for a number of years, and this same unstable msmobiles fellow pops up in message boards all over the place. He's been a famous MS MVP stalker for years. You need to check the microsoft.public.smartphone newsgroup to really get a sense of how over the top he can be. At one point he had listed all the MS Smartphone MVPs on his site and took the time to criticise each one (unfortunately this was later edited to be less harsh... as a form of peace treaty): msmobiles.com/catalog/i.php/488.html msmobiles.com/news.php/3542.html But why listen to me, here are some fun examples: http://groups-beta.google.com/group/microsoft.public.smartphone/browse_frm/thread/dedc4f7125880890/6878845c9f503981?tvc=1&q=smartphone+msmobiles+mvp&hl=en#6878845c9f503981 http://groups-beta.google.com/group/microsoft.public.smartphone/browse_frm/thread/676d0427e42bf498/aead0336124584ae?tvc=1&q=smartphone+msmobiles+mvp&hl=en#aead0336124584ae and.. he's sort of been the butt of a few jokes: www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=107083 It's strange, though, because every once in a while his site really hits home. I particularly appreciated the code signing diagram in his article on developing apps for the smartphone: msmobiles.com/article.php/27.html That's exactly how it is! Good luck with this one. Perhaps he'll follow the msmobiles model and create a giant Weblogs Inc. evangelism site (not that you need it), while at the same time complaining that all the bloggers are incestuous cretins. Jason Striegel Incestuous Cretin hackaday.com note: sorry about the hyperlinks, I'm only allowed a couple in the comments. for a good time, cut and paste.

A Young Bond In Bloom (Cinematical)

Mar 31st 2005 3:33PM Bob, good call on Clive Owen. He fits the role perfectly. I'm a bit sceptical of Orlando -- too elfish. I'd have to say Connery is my favorite Bond. All the others are a blur. All the others, that is, except for Mike Myers...
