The liberal comments so far demonstrate a very flawed but public school education on civics. Having taught the subject and "US history in high schools, I know the prejudicial anti-conservative bias of Boorstein and other textbook writers. If it were NOT for the "pubbies" this nation would have already fallen due to the socialist bent of the DEmocratic-Socialists who now control the governorships and the Congress. Their first agenda item is to push for impeachment of Bush and Cheney. But in 2007 they will have to deal with the fact war with Iran becomes mandatory and they will have to attack Iran or Israel will. As they are trying to disengage from mid-East it will erupt in full-out hostilities making the 2000+ body count of today happen in an hour or so.
This past election may prove to be the biggestr disaster in American history.
