Mother of 'Genderless' Baby Storm Speaks Out (ParentDish)

May 31st 2011 4:48PM I think that, while these parents are trying to be open-minded, and raise a child in a world/society that is changing rapidly in the way political correctness, they're going about it all wrong. I agree that a child should have their own individuality, and grow to be comfortable with it, and who they are.. However, people tend to take things to an extreme, merely to prove the point they are trying to make. All that is going to happen here, is this child will grow up with kids constantly asking which gender it is, if not making fun of him/her, which I would think is the opposite of what the parents are going for.

Actress Yvette Vickers' Mummified Body Found in Her Home (PopEater)

May 3rd 2011 8:02PM These sorts of stories are hard to read. It seems that there must have been some form of foul play. Did she mummify herself? It just doesn't add up. regardless, I feel that this is a sad story of an aging women, who in her day was hot stuff. That can get the human in old age. Fame is an evil demon...

Help! I Can't Get My Teen Out of Bed in the Morning Without Shouting and Drama! (ParentDish)

Mar 29th 2011 9:46AM I can see where this article is coming from...it is hard to get even my 7 year old step daughter out of bed some mornings, and she does go to bed at a decent time...but you still have to stay the parent in control...All I do in the morning is walk in flip on her light, and tell her what time it is..if she doesn't get up and misses the bus, she already knows that she will have an unexcused absence, b/c we won't call it in for her, so while she is not a teen yet, I guess what I'm trying to say, is that you have to start young with good habits, she has figured the mornings out ok now...some mornings she ends up waking me up...but we will see if they stick through the teenage years...which I'm not looking forward to by the way...

Tress Test: Scarlett Johansson's 2011 Golden Globes Updo Hairstyle (Stylelist (Main))

Feb 21st 2011 5:34PM I think she looked great with it...it really fit her facial features, it was a nice look for her. Much better than the straight normal look before...very pretty.

Daytona 500 Winner Trevor Bayne Living a Dream at 20 (Fanhouse Motorsports Blog)

Feb 21st 2011 10:17AM This was a pretty good race, and young Bayne was impressive to watch. I had heard his name, and a small buzz, but hadn't seen him with my own eyes till yesterday...Overall a great race I though though, and good to see someone new win, who knows what may become of this young athlete know...

Fantastic Four Get a New Name, New Costumes and an Old Spider-Man (ComicsAlliance)

Feb 20th 2011 11:07AM As an arc, I think it looks interesting, I mean Johnny will be back, and spidey will probably leave, but in the meantime it seems like a neat arc, worth reading, I think. Any of us who follow comics, know that they move in this arcs, and they, most anyway, come to pass, and go back to what they were in the first place, with maybe less adjustments...still though, I did like that they didn't change Doom, I mean he is so badas* as is...no costume changes needed there. I will check it out, no promises it will be my favorite form of the team, but I will give it a chance anyway, why not...I mean I thought i would hate Spider-man 2099 after hearing about it, and actually enjoyed for awhile.

New 'Thor' Movie Trailer Strikes [Video] (ComicsAlliance)

Feb 20th 2011 10:15AM you know, I was going to see this movie either way, just b/c I'm a comic book fanatic, but after seeing this most recent trailer...I'm actually looking a little more forward to it...hoping Captain America turns out alright as well now though...then we will see a great Avengers movie...that waits to be seen though...

Handicapped Athlete, Supporters Protest Coach's Decision to Cut Him (ParentDish)

Feb 13th 2011 9:30AM I have to say that I see both sides of this story. I can understand that the parents, and this child, feel that he was not given a fair chance b/c he is disabled. But I also see where the coach is coming from in saying that, if he was on the team, the opposing team may take advantage of the fact that he is disabled, and send the ball his way, which would further make this child fell bad by realizing that he is letting the team down, and being used as a crutch for the opposing team. So while I think it is unfortunate he was unable to make the team, I can see where both sides are coming from on this issue. I don't think, therefore, that there is any good solution.

Activision axing Guitar Hero and True Crime; Freestyle Games reportedly hit with layoffs [update] (Joystiq)

Feb 10th 2011 8:44AM I think that GH needed to take a break anyway, I mean they all just started to blend together after 1 & 2...I mean different songs, but just nothing special....so I think that if they take a break from it, come up with some fresh ideas, and take some more time getting some great music to put on it, it will make a comeback....and if not, then may it rest in peace, it was a good run while it lasted, and like someone else sayed, they milked the cash cow dry, so if it doesn't come back, don't be surprised. But I did like hearing that they are wanting to take more time on creating better games, and with more realistic play and all that...so through the death of one franchise, a different, and greater one will rise...hopefully

Eminem Plans a Return to the Big Screen, But Can He Forge a Successful Acting Career? (PopEater)

Feb 5th 2011 9:20AM I would like to see him in a movie or two...I think he is actually a decent actor. I am a fan of his, have been since I first heard Infinite. But I would be a little let down if he gave up music, and only pursued acting. I can understand that after making 7 albums, 6 successful, that he would want to maybe take a break from it. But I would like to hear at least one more album from him, like Recovery was, no skits, not a lot of silly stuff, just true hip-hop, and showcasing the real talent he has, not just being controversial. The controversial stuff got him in the spot light, and so we know he can do that, but fans of his also know that he has a true talent for hip hop. So as I said, I can understand if he is ready to take the money he has made with music, and call it quits, but I would still like to hear one more album, a true hip-hop album, like he did with Recovery. And I although I would like seeing him in a couple movies, I don't know that he would really want to make the transition to movie star, like Will Smith, or Mark Wahlberg, like the article said...while he is capable of doing so, hip hop is his true calling I think.
