This is like one of the only good reasons why the type of government that China has is useful. It gets sh*t done. Not slowly but at a good to fast pace. You take something like this in the US, it'll take years if not decades to get any major support from the people and/or government.

I never took Amtrak's Acela line but the Empire State corridor I read is rated for high speed rail. The only question is how long will that take....

Get us* off fossil fuels and then we can devote our time and money into reusing nuclear waste or reducing it.

Jul 19th 2010 3:12PM I use to own a Sharp 9130C, its a MTK model. It was great even though it wasn't made directly by Sharp (for the chinese market). I know Sharp phones in Japan are amazing (I currently own an NEC n906i) and am sadly disappointed in Sharp's decision to release such a "standard" phone for the US market.

Not be a socialist but I took a class last semester on Karl Marx's Capital book. We are in what people would call "monopoly capitalism"
