Michelle Tackled Portion Control and Lost 100 Pounds (That's Fit)

Mar 23rd 2011 9:35PM Great job Michelle! It's hard to change a lifetime habit. I hope you get a chance to read all the positive comments on here. I'm glad you don't think of yourself as the 'fat girl' anymore, you are so much more!

Best of Spring 2011: The New Workwear (Stylelist)

Mar 12th 2011 3:48PM I guess my firm has not gotten the memo that this is "what women should wear to work", as this clothing wouldn't conform to our dress code. The trend that came out a few years ago of "work shorts" doesn't fly there either.

Attractive People Are More Likely to Have Daughters (Asylum)

Nov 30th 2010 9:38PM I'm not making the connection in their explanation of the results. Obviously men are more picky about looks, but why does that make them have daughters?

McDonald's Smoothies: More Calories Than A Cheeseburger? (That's Fit)

Oct 3rd 2010 9:37PM I just tried McDonald's smoothies for the first time today. I was extremely disappointed in the amount of sugar in it. My husband pointed out that you could actually smell the sugar in the drink. I drank very little of it. Planet Smoothies' drinks do have sugar as well, but a little less. My fav smoothie there has 58 grams of sugar as opposed to 70 in McDonald's 22 ounce drink. Planet Smoothie also uses plant sugars for sweeteners, which is described on their website. Even aside from the health facts, the McDonald's drink just tastes like sugary fruit punch on ice.

Miami Mom to Sue Hospital for Performing Unwanted Circumcision on Newborn (ParentDish)

Sep 15th 2010 10:28AM I don't know about the rest of the women on here, but I personally don't want men ANY more sensitive than they already are! Geez you'd look at them they would come. :P

Wendy's Training Videos From the Eighties Are Delicious (Video) (Urlesque)

Aug 28th 2010 10:01PM So true about the ice! McDonald's always adds ice into their orange juice, which I hate. My Dad once asked for orange juice with NO ice - and they give him only a half filled cup to compensate for the fact that there was no ice!

Cat Vaccines: What You Need to Know (Pawnation OLD)

Aug 28th 2010 9:36AM It's interesting how similar the comments on here are to a lot of peoples' thoughts on vaccinations for children. When I was a baby there was a handful of required vaccinations, and the list has increase so much since then, and actually still continues to increase. Even since my kids were babies (my oldest is 6 years old) there have been new vaccines - rotovirus, meningitis, hpv/cervical cancer. Supposed you can sign a waiver for religious or personal reasons, but try actually getting your kids into public school without the vaccination,or keeping a real doctor instead of a holistic dr (regular MDs kick you out of their practice and it did happen to a friend of mine), if you ever need government assistance of any form, believe me, they're required. My children have had all their shots, the only concession the doctors allow us is to split up the doses by a few weeks so they're not being vaccinated against 8 diseases in one appoinment (NOT an exaggeration - Brooke's 4 year shots were to be dipetheria, tetanus, pertussis, measles, mumps, rubella, polio and chicken pox)

Twilight Stars Stewart & Pattinson Praised For Pale Skin (Stylelist)

Jul 28th 2010 11:41PM Finally!! I can never tan and I'm glad to see pale come into style! People have always been bashing me for my skin color and to be honest it's a bit racist.

Guy's Guide to Lingerie (Shopping Articles Blog)

Feb 13th 2010 1:37PM The person writing this article probably didn't actually care to help guys find the correct lingerie for their woman's body type, the author just wanted to market the lingerie (notice there is a link for each one!). Good advice from Monica, play up with you got and downplay what you don't.

'Family Guy' Abortion Episode Details Revealed & More TV News (Inside TV Blog)

Aug 10th 2009 12:33AM obviously it's just a cartoon, but IRL the surrogacy contract states who the baby goes to in case of both parents dying, so the baby never belongs to the surrogate- no matter what. (I know because I'm a surrogate mom)
