Minute Makeover: 10 Ways to Declutter Today (Shelterpop)

May 8th 2011 6:16PM How easy you make it all sound lol. I wish I could have my home decluttered. The sad reality is I work 60 plus hours a week. I have two small dogs that I keep sequestered in the hall (yes with food, water, toys and doggie bed) while I am at work and they unfortunately use the potty in the house and the boy dog uses the potty all over the house when let out but we don't get rid of our children now do we? I also used to run two businesses from this home, a clothing store on ebay and a tree service, so not only do I have several totes of stock around my home but also chainsaws, tools and tree equipement. My (hopefully) soon to be exhusband that I kicked out feb of 2010, stuff is still here (he only wants to take fun stuff to his girlfriends like big screen tvs, electronics and his clothing). I would say 50% off my personal items are still packed up in boxes in the living room and I cannot remember the last time I saw the top of my dining room table (I thought I was leaving the home in a fit of insanity) I feel like I live in a storage. Not to mention that my house is extremely old and is just breaking down and falling apart due to time and its under 1000 square feet. I feel like I am in a never ending cycle of hell. I can't get rid of the stock from the clothing store because i have about $8K invested in it and I work too much to do ebay properly, Can't get rid of his stuff until there is some kind of judgement with the divorce or I could get in trouble. He was a serious pack rat while living here. What kind of advice does the minute makeover have for me, lol.

Dec 30th 2010 8:30AM I think this is a fantastic toy based on what I have read. However I think the price is extremely steep for this kind of item (However this kind of technology does not come cheap and I am sure this is item like all mattel items is built to quality). I was wondering if any white nail polish could be used or just the barbie white? As I feel 10 minutes for a little girl to keep her hands still is too much time. I would recommend rimmel 60 sec dry in a white color. I also wonder how long the ink cartridges last and how much a replacement cartridge runs? I think this is a great toy but not really geared for a young girl, however those that see women in their families with highly stylized fake nails will definetly want this item as its less dangerous then fakes and totally appropiate for a child. Yes, this is something an 8 years old could really get about 10+ years of use of out so I think its a great product.

Nov 1st 2010 5:09AM What do you mean "so many of us took these jobs from men"?? Who said these jobs were for men only? In many cases the man doesnt stick around and is a loser. Last time I looked any parent needed to have a job (Any person for that matter) to support themselves and their family. Your comment reminds me of an 80 year old ignorant racist and sexist (to her own kind) woman I know, she spouts stuff like this too. Everyone has to work, If a woman does the job better and takes it from a man, thats just the way the world works.

Oct 28th 2010 10:37PM I am devasted. This is one of my favorite shows. Thankfully I own all the existing DVDS and yes I totally agree that they kind of went of the deep end in the finale of season 4 with them outing themselves but it still was good tv. RIP BIG LOVE

Oct 22nd 2010 4:37PM What about sweeping the bathroom floor, no mention of that here. Also I dont know about you but only 2 minutes to clean the bathtub? Not in my house. Especially since my tub has problems draining. What about time to remove the laundry and pick up the trash the dogs pulled out of the can. Wiping down the vanity takes time too. I also like to give the walls a quick wipe as well (not to mention the over the toilet storage rack and small table I have in there). No mention of taking out bathroom trash either. This really sounds like a quick guide to clean a guest bathroom no one uses before your guests show up for the weekend.

Oct 4th 2010 6:16PM Firstly, I applaud you sir, I would have done much worse. You may have dropped a few curses but your self control is far strong then mine. Secondly: I would love to see some criminal charges brought against not only the bullies but the bus driver. I am sure there are laws to protect handicapped children that need to be enforced here. The throwing of the condoms constitutes sexual abuse in my opinion and I would try to prosecute to the fullest extent. Get them on any technicality you can. Schools and this includes the bus ride to and from need to institute a zero tolerance stance on any and all bullying and I mean crack down hard. Bless you and yours, good job. If anyone knows where we can donate to this mans legal defense, please post the info.

Aug 10th 2010 11:17AM While I can totally understand the flight attendants actions I cannot condone them. When you get hired to do a job working with the public, part of that is you being paid to take the public's guff. It's part of the job they are paying you for, end of story. Yes, it is fair that they arrested him for activating the emergency slide. Had you or I, average people activated that slide, we would probably be charged with a felony. You (collectively) are making this man out to be a hero for being unprofessional, rude and a possible danger to a plane full of people. Look at it from the perspective of the airline owners, a well behaved passenger on the plane, or even a person riding the little train where he threw his tie. This man lost his marbles and a better adult would have just bucked up and said I quit or quit before he lost a hold on reality.
