The Biggest Hairdos Ever {Lemondrop}
Oct 9th 2008 2:12PM It's time to outlaw these sick, disgusting, and demeaning perversion of hairstyles. Fortunately, many schools and workplaces now ban this travesty of fashion. Keep hairstyles simple and natural.
Jury duty fraud: How scammers use civic involvement to rob you {WalletPop}
Aug 22nd 2008 3:30PM If you think that not registering to vote will keep you out of jury duty, you are wrong. A Federal law passed during the Clinton years in the '90s prohibits states from using just voter registration databases to form jury pools. They have to use other sources, such as driver license databases and even welfare rolls. The idea behind the law was to get every person who is eligible to serve on a jury to eventually serve on one, since the U.S. Constitution states that citizens have a responsibility to serve on juries when they are called to.
If you are not registered to vote, you are shortchanging yourself. It was elected officials that wrote and passed that law. Also, if you don't vote, you should not be complaining what our elected officials are doing. If you don't like what the government is doing, be sure to vote. And if you think your vote does not matter, there are cases where people have been elected by as little as one vote.
Put those breasts away: Woman asked to cover up while breastfeeding during flight {Gadling}
Aug 11th 2008 10:06PM Having sex is natural, too, but it is very illegal to have sex in public. While breastfeeding may be different than having sex, many people, women as well as male chauvinist pigs, find it offensive. I do not want my children to be around a woman with a bare breast, whether she is breastfeeding or not.
How skimpy is too skimpy for a prom dress? {Style List Blog}
May 14th 2008 1:24AM The prom officials should have called police when that girl arrived at the dorr and have her arrested for indecent exposure. Not only that, the police should have been sent to her house along with Child Protective Services and have the girl's parents busted for corrupting the morals of their child. This girl has no sense of decency. This, unfortunately, shows the need to police what kids can do today. I find it alarming that such trashy outfits are being marketed to eight-year-olds, prompting me to write to my state legislators to outlaw the marketing and sale of such outfits to children and to make broader the laws against indecent exposure to minors. I am against letting underage girls to appear in public in bikinis.
I can go on and complain about celebrity worship, moral relativism, the pop culture's obsession with sex, and so on, since this all ties in with the above, but I have better thinks to do with my time, such as getting a good night's sleep. All I can say now is that this is another example of how far our culture has gone down the gutter.
Should Parents Be Naked Around Their Children? {News Bloggers}
Feb 29th 2008 12:56PM Not only is it AND should be inappropriate for parents to appear nude in front of their children, it is a criminal offense in several states. Ohio, for example, has made it a sexual felony offense for any adult, including a parent, to appear nude in the presence of a minor. If this woman was in Ohio, she would be facing prison time and required to register as a sex offender for life, not to mention Child Welfare taking her kids away.
This is just another example of the moral breakdown of this society, and of the so-called "moral relativism." What's next, parents having sex in front of their children? I'm sure this already happens.
Abe Lincoln: Alive and Well? {Asylum}
Feb 21st 2008 12:42PM Yes, I saw Abraham Lincoln alive. The last time I was at Roswell, New Mexico, I saw Abe Lincoln emerge from a UFO with Bigfoot and Elvis. Later I went to a Roswell diner and saw Abe Lincoln having dinner with James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, and JFK. Lincoln was talking about putting together a search party to find Adolf Hitler, since the Nazi dictator is also still alive.
I also saw Bonnie a Clyde at a retirement home in Granbury, Texas. Granbury is where outlaws go to after they were supposedly killed. John Wilkes Booth, Jesse James, and Billy the Kid all moved to Granbury after they were supposedly killed. Booth left after a while, but Jesse James and Billy the Kid stayed, with the Kid living to 91 and James living to a ripe old age of 103. Maybe the reason why John Wilkes Booth did not stay in Granbury is that Abe Lincoln came to town one day looking for him, so Booth moved out.

Afraid of Losing Job, Florida Woman Deletes Office Files Worth $2.5 Million {Switched.com}
Jan 25th 2008 12:13PM To those ignorants out there making cheap comments about Jacksonville and Florida: my sister used to live in Jacksonville. She lived there until her husband, who works for a restaurant chain, was promoted and subsequently was transferred to Dothan, Alabama. My sister wants to move back to Jacksonville. She considers Dothan a redneck hick town after living there for a few months.
I used to live in Florida. I moved out because too many people have been moving in, driving up the cost of living, and bulldozing the landscape for cookie cutter subdivisions and shopping centers. I hoped the recent hurricanes would bring the runaway growth to a halt but they apparently did not.
