Top 10 Anti-Aging Beauty Tips for the Fabulous 40s and 50s! (Shopping Articles Blog)

Nov 19th 2010 9:23AM I agreed with 90% of this as far as what to expect as we age. The comment referring to 'Hunchback' sounds as though it is a natural part of aging and that we should work to stop it from showing. I worked for a gym in the 60's and we actually had exercises that we did(late teens and early 20s instructers) to eliminate that once it showed up. That
dowager's hump which was so painful to my paternal grandmother, is caused by osteoporosis, not from slumping!!! I have been crazy about dairy products my entire life and at 62 I show no signs of it, but far too many women will read this article and think it is an inevitable part of aging when it is not!!! I do stand tall (at 5'2") because my mother taught me to walk with a book balanced on my head, but the dairy is the reason I am not showing signs of osteoporosis.

Lady Blog Debate -- Should Heavier People Stay Off TV? (Lemondrop)

Oct 27th 2010 7:07PM It would be hard to express just how offensive I find the Marie Claire article! No, I don't have a weight problem, but there are people I love that do and some of them are the finest humans I have ever been privileged to know. No matter a person's weight, everyone wants love and deserves it. I love this show, and find the mother and sister of Molly pretty close to people I know that have an overweight person in the family. I think Molly is beautiful, and I think Mike is masculine and the idea that people with weight issues don't fall in love, and don't attract the opposite sex is ridiculous. If the author of this article is a writer for Marie Claire, she should be fired. I find her comments, and her attitude discriminitory and more offensive than they allow words for on this page! What an unfeeling, insinsitive, blind and ignorant dolt!!. NO MORE MARIE CLAIRE FOR THIS GIRL!!!!! This articles should never have made it past the idiot editors desk.

Clint Eastwood: His 10 Best Roles (Moviefone Blog)

Oct 23rd 2010 11:48PM It was Gran Torino Val, if you are going to criticize one of his very best at least know the correct name. I have been an Eastwood fan since high school and he just gets better with time. There is a nation of people that disagree with your opinion on this one Val and it took him a lifetime to play this part. I have it on dvd and watch it fairly often.

Biggest Loser Shows Bad Form (That's Fit)

Oct 15th 2010 2:59PM I have been a huge fan of Biggest Loser since the beginning. I have to say that I detest the head games that the powers that be play with the contestants. The whole sending them home, bringing them back sctick. The moving of the yellow line to include 8 people, etc. I understand that they are trying to keep interest it, but I cannot be the only person who would be content to see workouts, challenges, life stories interspersed, and less or none of what I perceive to be cruel and pointless mind games. That one thing alone has almost made me turn to some other channel this year.

'Dora the Explorer' Says Nickelodeon Ripped Her Off (PopEater)

Oct 8th 2010 11:58AM I fail to see whether the child and/or her family are here illegally is an issue. Nick has made a fortune off of Dora, I know because my granddaughter has bought plenty of Dora things. Not only that, she learned her first word there, which happened to be in English and since we are Caucasians who had the good fortune to be born in America, I think that speaks for itself.
If nothing else the girl should have been offered the option of renegotiating her contract after a certain period of time. Although I find the soundtrack to these dvds to be annoying, I think it is a definite advantage for any child to learn more than one language. I just go to a different room and let my granddaughter enjoy herself. What Nick did was unfair, and greedy.

Snickers Makes Creepiest Candy Commercial Yet (VIDEO) (AOL TV)

Oct 7th 2010 12:28AM Well, I feel like the odd man out. When I saw the article, I was trying to see the creepy commercial. Of course it might just be my own inate insanity but I assumed it was kids from the get go, making it just a cute commercial to me.

New Amityville Horror: Yuppie Tourists (Housingwatch)

Sep 29th 2010 11:58AM Jim,
I found your post interesting and informative to a point. You seem to forget that the Lutz family were the ones that finally admitted that the entire possessed house story was indeed a hoax. The red room never existed, etc. Having said that, I would be remiss not to say that I do believe that the spirit of the angry father might still be there. Or the spirit of the young children might not know that they are dead and remain. There are more things that exist than people see, and if you are not sensitive to this sort of thing(have second sight or just feel things around you when spirits happen to be there) you might live there quite happily and never experience a thing. While I would have some trepidation about living where people were murdered, I would have no issue with living where someone died peacefully. It's a beautiful house, I hope the present owners are happy there.
