Nov 10th 2010 6:26PM Apple provides a way to downgrade? Is that true or not?
Lawsuit pending over iPhone 3G's iOS 4 performance issues (TUAW.com)
Nov 10th 2010 6:22PM author said: "The number of people who threw up their hands and gave up on the iPhone 3G, then purchased an iPhone 4, is probably very small -- and based on the content of the law brief, Wofford doesn't seem to have bought an iPhone 4 herself, which also kind of hurts her claim."
Why would you believe the number of users who used to have a good product, but were suddenly using a unusable product, wouldn't be compelled to get a great product?
The 3G did become a near-door stop. The phone has been so unresponsive that I literally could not answer a call before it went to voice mail in spite of trying to answer after the first ring. The slider just would not respond. The phone doesn't work responsively under 4.0. It is outrageous that Apple would release the code untested to the extent it had, that they had no idea how terrible it would perform, and that the media covering Apple would defend their practice.
Sarah Palin Admits She Considered Abortion (Politics Daily)
Apr 27th 2009 6:51PM This is the last article I'll read from politicsdailyhufpo.com
Ridiculous conclusion. Apparently this is just another leftist blog site posing as a complete news and editorial site.
To the point of the article: of course even strong-pro-life people are going to have doubts. We live in a *society* that forms and informs our values and thinking. When a popular meme is out there, like "you can kill it -- it's just a blog of tissue -- it's not really a "human being" even when you are convinced that the being inside you is a human being of course you are going to stop and think. It's you subconscious sorting out the truth. It's called being human.
You leftists have so frozen over your compassion to the unborn that to even consider their humanity for a moment puts you into a state of shock... that you could be as bad as the nazi's. It's a horrible thing to consider. So how would you understand the other side doing the same thing... actually using rationale to consider truth?
Seems to me the rabid pro-aborts have *little or no capacity to consider* if the unborn should be granted human rights status. Are you a "pro-choicer"? Have you honestly considered when humans rights should be granted to human beings? Do you have logical answers?
If your mind is so shut off from considering possibilities how would you give Palin any credit for thinking? It's outside of your understanding on the issue.
Professor Rejects Notre Dame Medal Over Obama Invite (Politics Daily)
Apr 27th 2009 6:38PM Is this a news reporting site or a liberal blog? I came to politicsdaily.com after reading in techcrunch that it would be left, right and center views but so far it seems to be leftist slams.
Am I missing some of the more centrist articles?
About Those Right Wing Extremists... (Politics Daily)
Apr 27th 2009 6:32PM Of course it's "It's all very anecdotal, of course." ... that's why you used it in your article ... and why we trust you so much to bring forth compelling and persuasive arguments.
(Hypocrite alert.)

Women Using the Web to Find Abortion Drugs (Switched)
Jul 12th 2008 5:52PM The 11% with problems also wouldn't be a problem if those 11% also chose not to abort. Pointing out that legalizing abortion "helps" the 11%, as is typical, ignores the core argument: the unborn either are or are-not human beings deserving protection. The argument for the pro-lifer is that sure they care for the safety of pregnant women but they equally care for the safety of the unborn child.
I cannot understand why this lame argument is thrown up again and again. Is it that pro-aborts just don't get the crux of the issue or that if they think that if they just keep repeating themselves "women are being killed by unsafe abortions!!! make them safe!!!" that the core issue will go away-?!!?
Broadcom co-founder allegedly spiked tech execs' drinks, had "warehouse" of coke and meth (Engadget)
Jun 6th 2008 3:40AM I worked at Bluetorch TV - Broadcom's venture into interactive television (Broadcom Interactive Group / BIG) -- read on f*ckedcompany.com all the legit griping to hear what Bluetorch did to the SoCal sports paper trade -- anyway... towards the very end of Bluetorch one of the Henry's founders came in to bitch at us for losing all his money on the show (we had a good show but but for some reason no one thought to sell the ads) -- there were rumors about his meth use when he came in... he came in around 4:45 PM and made the entire staff wait around till about 7:00 PM making us all sit in the lunch room to watch a segment that was airing on DirecTV when he had happened to walk in the front door and then to through a bitchfest. With about 30% of the people sitting on the floor at his feet he asked for a show of hands to let him know who worked the segment that was shown. He then proceeded to say how it was the worst piece of sh*t he had ever seen on television. One of the guys we worked with had set up a hidden DV camera recording his asswipe antics. I wish I had a copy of that tape. This guy deserves what he has coming. He was hated by all his staff at the end of that day and everyone pretty much knew it was the beginning of the end. Nichols basically tried to reinvent the show based on a musician promotion concept he had... but I think he still hadn't figured out on television you have to sell ads to pay for stuff.
