Dale Jr career Cup stats: 337 starts over 11 years have produced 18 wins

Kyle Busch career Cup stats: 160 starts over 6 years have produced 15 wins.

May 8th 2009 5:31PM So now its his teammates fault that he can't win? Face it people: If #88's last name wasn't Earnhardt he would probably be a tire changer for one of the nationwide teams. I have never met Jr. but he seems like a cool guy (probably a lot nicer guy than Kyle), but he isn't talented enough to warrant the kind of ride he has. He might win a championship some day but based on past performance there is absolutely no reason to believe he will ever get close. Kyle and Jr. have almost the same number of cup wins, but of course Kyle has gotten there a lot faster. Hell, I'm a Jeff Burton fan and I think he is going to win a championship before Jr. I think he has beaten Jr. in the final standings almost every year (not every) that they have both been in Cup... Personally I don't think Jr. or Burton will a championship, but I am still pulling for #31.

May 7th 2009 3:55PM I think the Kyle haters are bigger whiners that Kyle is himself. You whine about him when he acts like a brat. You whine when he wins. You whine how he wins. You whine about Nascar selling out to Toyota. (there are plenty of guys driving Toyotas in Nascar, but Kyle wins more races than all of them combined. another conspiracty theory?) You whine when you think Nascar doesn't punish him for driving like many others do. Face it.. there is a lot of bumping going on but nobody see Jr bumping anybody because the cameras don't show guys that are a lap down. He cheats, he is too agressive, he is a brat.. blah blah blah. He is also one of the winningest drivers since his move to Gibbs. None of the haters can take that away from him

I Burton could have more success if he were a bit more agressive, but the facts don't support your statement of a mediocre driver destined for the middle of the pack. Even your statement about competetive spirit is quite argueable. In the past 10 years Jeff Burton has finished in the top 7 in points 5 years. He had 5 down years from 01-05 and showed the toughness and spirit to keep going and make the chase last year. He is probably going to make it again this year. I really don't know if he has what it takes to win a championship but the facts show the guy can drive and be competetive with anybody.
